The most underrated action movies of all time

Completely stupid plot but the gun shootout at the end is good and the main villain's death is so OTT. A lot of it was shot in the UK London, Lamberth & Brixton

It is hilarious all the Russian accents are bad lol but just shows how gritty 80's film were compared to how pristine films are nowadays its a good 80's action flick OTT some good gun shoot outs and explosions good soundtrack

Yeah, there's just a no-nonsense bluntness to 80's action that really appeals to me. It always has done.

There's a weird sort of raw purity to it, like the directors aren't getting carried away, obsessing with how it looks or whether scenes could have perhaps done with a few more re-takes, etc.

Especially early-mid 80s.

That is also one of the things i like about movies from the 70's 80's & 90's all action films from those eras were raw and gritty

Its a good film i only saw it myself for the first time last year.

I generally find most Arnie action films to be hugely over rated than the other way around. Maybe I just don't enjoy the cheesyness.

I like the guy but I'd struggle to think of 5 great films he's made.

Mind several actors would love to star in 3 great films in their career.

I can see the argument against some of the list I posted. But Terminator, Terminator 2, Total Recall and Predator are all great movies.

Great can mean different things though I guess.

I mean, Commando's great for what it is but it's not a thought-provoking movie classic obviously. So I'd still say it's 'great'.
