Just seen that Les Mis is touring for the first time in a decade or so. Coming to the Hippodrome so I'm tempted to see if anyone else wants to go. It's got some good songs, but I'm not the biggest fan of a lot of the second act, so I can't justify going all the way to London to watch it.

Killian Donnelly is playing Jean Valjean in the tour after doing it in London, so I'm expecting good things. He was good in Kinky Boots, too.

Bought tickets for Kinky Boots earlier. £56 each. Crazy money! I'm sure I didn't pay that much for front-of-the-circle tickets in London!

Off to London in the morning to see La Boheme again at the Opera House.

Saw Legally Blonde at the weekend, it was OK, a bit forgettable but the performances were all very good so I cant complain too much.

Saw Mischief Movie Night from the Mischief Company (Play that goes wrong etc)

Pretty good - but still it's improve so not the tight comedy of their other stuff. Also short (over by the interval). The extract from new show after was much much better.

Saw Hamilton last night and loved it! Well worth the 8 month wait since I got tickets.

Listened to quite a few of the songs before seeing it, but it is so much better live and on stage. I think Burr and the King were my favourite characters.

My new favourite musical! Book of Mormon is still funniest though...

At the weekend I went to a local production of Wizard of Oz and it was very good indeed. We had front row seats, which was a new experience for me and I have to say it was very nice. It really feels like the show is being put on just for you and being so close means you can see all the little details. I was also impressed with the production values, everything from the costumes and coreography to the use of pyrotechnics were spot on. My one knock against it is that while the the lead was a very good actor she didnt really feel like Dorothy to me but then Im comparing her to Judy Garland so its probably an unfair comparison. Overall very good show and Ill definitely keep an eye out for more productions there.

Got free tickets for Titanic - The Musical for Sunday. Anybody seen it? I've read good things, and the person who works in the industry who got us the tickets said it's her favourite musical she's seen in a long time.

I'm not a huge musical fan, but a free tickets a free ticket.

Oh, I saw that recently too. The one I saw was actually a pretty neatly told plot and despite being absurd moved forward in a ridiculously natural way for an improve. I thought it was really funny too. I was actually tempted to see it again the next night, it was that good. I wonder if that was a fluke though.

Just discovered a Reddit for sharing professional recordings of stageshows Downloaded Wind in the Willows and a couple of the National Theatre productions. Lily James in Romeo and Juliet Will be good to watch that again.

I saw Avenue Q off-Broadway on Monday, and it was fantastic. I love the Bad Idea Bears!

I also saw Puffs on Thursday. The writing was a bit... cringey in places. I get that it's meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but parts of it came off like that My Immortal fanfic, and it was a bit awkward. The Narrator was fantasticly funny though, and gave off a sort of Richard O'Brien vibe. He and the actor who played Cedric Diggory really held the show together.

The Bad Idea Bears are my favourite part of Avenue Q Can't wait for the tour to come back to Birmingham. It's great how well it segues from the nonsensical to the heavy emotional bits. (I wish I could go back to College has all the feels )

Also just seen that Waitress is coming to London! Can't wait for that Wonder when they'll announce Evan Hansen is coming over too. Can't be long, considering everyone's still on the Greatest Showman hype...

Saw Miss Saigon on its UK Tour recently, really good. Not much in the way of catchy songs but thought the plot was very engrossing and the visuals were pretty good.

Also saw legally blonde on its UK Tour, I really enjoyed that, had some decent songs in.

Have coming up over the next week or so whilst I'm off work Singing in the Rain (UK Tour), saw it on the West End years ago and enjoyed it, so why not see it again. Then Bring it On, and School of Rock.

Really want to see Hamilton, and quite tempted to go watch Mamma Mia again.

What did you think of School of Rock, Ecno? It's not the kind of show I'd take a special trip into London for, but I really enjoyed it

Where Did The Rock Go gives me all the feels.

Just seen that if anyone's on 02 you can already book tickets for Waitress when it comes to London. Will wait for the regular booking to open (mainly because I'm not on 02 )



Disappointing that the best recordings of the cast on Youtube are mostly the sad emotional song.

Seeing Phantom of the Opera in December then Carmen at the Royal opera house. Should be delightful.

I was really quite bored with Miss Saigon, it didn't grab me at all.

Expensive few days for me - Managed get tickets for Waitress and Harry Potter in the same weekend! Not until May, at least, so I've got plenty of time to watch the eight films...

Just seen they've announced Katharine Mcphee is playing Jenna in Waitress in London! Loved her in Smash. Can't wait.
