The National are doing a live session on Steve Lamacq's show this afternoon on 6Music.

Listening to this now, the new stuff sounds really good (it's from about 1hr 35mins on last nights Lamacq show on the link above). Can't wait for the album release.

I think it shows how old I am that I'm baulking at that and will probably just buy the CD even though the first thing I'll do is rip it into iTunes (to be fair though I can't really play mp3's in the car).

Great a price as that is I don't regret getting the CD version, even if it hasn't shown up yet

I listened to the stream a few times and really liked what I heard. Made Daft Punk's album sound like a bunch of faulty Furbys in a barrell.
