But let's not pretend it was any good.

Are you saying F-Zero was no good?

Did the NES Mini have pre-orders? Will definitely be putting one in when this goes live if it does.

Nah the original F-Zero is still good, tight controls+track design et al. I certainly prefer the 3D entries but it's still an engaging and fun racer.

I remember SNES generally being okay on Wii U, though it was weirdly luck of the draw whether games would be hit with the infamous 'dark' filter. I remember Mario World and others being fine, but Kirby's Dream Land 3's colours were too muted.

As an aside; I really like the 3DS for SNES, the games look so sharp (even though the aspect ratio is slightly off at native res). Just wish they weren't so pricey!

Wasn't the Vita pretty beefy and how does that compare to the Nes Mini in terms of size?

He is. And he'd be right.

Play it today and come back and tell me it plays well.

I still love F-Zero 1.

F-Zero SNES is still my favourite one. Never got on with the N64 and GC versions.

Played it recently again on Wii U and it does.

I had one of the GBA sequels on Wii U which are very similar to the SNES game and that played just fine so I'd imagine the SNES game holds up too.

No love for Actraiser or Killer Instinct? The hard as nails Spider-Man with the funky electronic guitar opening? Star Wars? They should aim for a massive variety with this.

Yes?

I hope they do an N64 mini.

Or just re-release the controller with analogue sticks that don't disintegrate.

The lack of Mega Man X love in here is upsetting.

And F Zero is still really good :datass:

It looks like the sort of crap 3rd party N64 controller your granny would get you.

If they do an N64 one, maybe they'll redesign the controller so it's suitable for those of us with just two working hands.

I was just pointing out that with all this debating about whether an N64 mini could be done it kind of already has.

Is this one of those "It used to be good but when you play it now it clearly isn't any longer because <technical reasons>" (like how people think GoldenEye on the N64 doesn't hold up today because of its shoddy fps), or did you actually think it was gooseberry fool back then as well?

Poser wrote:If they do an N64 one, maybe they'll redesign the controller so it's suitable for those of us with just two working hands.

I loved the N64 pad but I agree that it could do with modernising. I went back to it a couple of years back and the only things which compared poorly to modern controllers was the skinny analogue stick, which was also crazy loose, and its massive deadzone.
