Nice work False, killing it.

I'm back up to 90kg rest pause x30 on the deadlift, should easily break 100 in the next fortnight.

One weird thing I have noticed since my recent return is a total lack of DOMs. Not sure if my body still remembers lifting heavier or what but even when trying to push myself as hard as possible (which is hard with a hemoglobin well below a pregnant woman's) the next day I can't tell I've been to the gym at all. Little strange.

Good job on the bench press, one pointer I would have is try to keep the back of your head and shoulders pressed into the bench throughout instead of lifting up when you're pushing.

6-7 weeks into lean gains, can definitely see a good improvement, body fat % is down, lost 3kg of weight and maintained the same level of strength for most things and increased in a few too.

Had a bad couple of weeks after a muscle strain and a holiday.

Went for a run and did a basic home workout of pushups and squats etc

But did use some scales that measure body fat and water, said i was 11% BF and 60% water which i'm pleased with (abs aren't that visible yet though so not sure if the BF % is right).

Going to the gym tomorrow morning so hopefully I can still hit the same weights I did a couple of weeks ago.

Not quite weight training but I ran my personal best 400m after circuit training last night, 78 seconds. Would be quite incredible to roll in at under 70 by the end of the year. :slol:

Can do 11 reps in a set on my deadlifts @ 130kg now. Feels good man. Annoyingly my 2 week holiday next thursday is going to reverse my gains.

Time for me to overtake again 8) nah that's cool though good work.

Nice one on the run as well brer, strawberry float that gooseberry fool! Btb - wouldn't be expecting stunning abs at 11% really.

Got my base of 90 dead, 80 squat and 70 bench of x30 rest pause now, need to finally move back into a proper routine and get adding serious weight back on to all my lifts.

There's a poorly equipped gym in the hotel, so I'll try and macgyver a routine out of what I can find.

Good Work. :toot:

One thing I noticed though, is you seem very low down the bench, with the bar when resting sitting just above the top of your head. Is that the preferred way?

when I bench, my shoulders are up nearly against the bench uprights, with the bar probably resting above my nose.

Could just be that I have a small bench.

Does seem quite low and yours seems a little bit high, going from Starting Strength which is where I got my form for most lifts, I try and keep my eye level just below the bar.

yes that set-up was a little low down the bench - as you can see from my struggle to get the bar out of the rack. the issue is our j-hooks are really deep so it's very easy to catch them on the way up if you set up too close to the rack.

Jesus I fear for your neck watching that. But yeah man, good job.

That your own private weights room? Very jealous if so.

I'm just jealous full stop. I did three reps at 90kg and nearly gave myself a nosebleed :slol:.

like i said, neck's fine - but only if i keep it off the bench slightly.

im facilities manager so i can get in there when i want ;)

Ob it's taken me 1 year ( :dread: ) to get from 90 to 100 so it's slow, you just have to be patient unfortunately.

Been struggling away lately, last few times I've been down I've been feeling on the verge of collapse simply from walking to the gym. It's downhill all the way.

Still been managing to up my lifts though, just been having to skip most auxiliary lifts and take massive gaps in between exercises.

Got my deadlift up to 110kg by 30 but going to have to lay off squats and deadlifts for a couple of days thanks to shooting up the weight and overdoing my lower back a bit.

Think I might be off traveling in complete poverty in 6 weeks time if I'm well enough so all gains I've started to get back will be completely gone again but nevermind.

I'm looking to go running aswell as working out in the gym.

Is it a good idea to go running early in the morning and then to the gym at around 11? or is it better doing one of them in the day and the other at night?

Depends what you're doing in the gym Styles, running and then doing leg strength training after isn't ideal but it shouldn't make too much difference, do whatever fits your day best.

Deadlifts went absolutely abysmal after pulling my hamstring and not training them for ages. Slowly working back up but pretty frustrating being 60kg less than you were pulling in Jan.
