strawberry float man, that sucks.

Should be hitting a 3x8 100kg deadlift tomorrow, first time I'll be in triple figures since tearing my shoulder 6 months ago. Progress seems to be coming on well, up from 40kg deadlift just a month ago. Be careening past 200 by Autumn if I can keep this up ;)

Anyone else here a strava user?

As a road cyclist, it's quite possibly the great invention since the penny farthing

I started looking into it this last week. I've set up a few routes on it, but my phone is too big to actually take with me so I'm not getting that much out of it. I'm looking to start cycling soon since I've signed up for a tri, so might use it then.

Decided to go for a nice 6k run yesterday since I've not been to the gym in a few days. Got lost, ended up running over 8.5. whoops

Comfortably doing sets of 5 deadlifts at 160kg now. This is directly after my 115kg squats too. Shame my upper body can't keep up with the progress, I'll end up looking like a strawberry floating frog.

I use fitbit for when cycling. Is there anything strava can give me over fitbit or is it the same general distance\heart rate monitoring?

How many reps do you do per set?

You should really try to seperate those days if at all possible, as your numbers continue to go up your CNS will be getting an absolute battering from following one after another.

Starting to get some muscle definition back now, slowly. Upping my lifts every time I head in, looking to have tripled my deadlift in a month and a half. Very tentatively introducing lifts that are taxing on the shoulders such as lat raises as well. Annoyingly seem to still be far off being able to perform chins, pulls, or any lift that requires my hands to be above head height.

It's much more than mapping your ride.

You can compare yourself against other riders on different segments on your ride. You you'll be able to see who is fastest today, this year and all time for example.

A feature I particularly like is Strava fly-bys. You're able to see who past you by, or who you over took and then look at the route that they cycled. I find this useful when looking for a new route.

It's free to try, just download the app and hit record. :D

Managed four gym sessions so far this week after tendinitis knocked me out for a month, definitely enjoying getting back into it. The chest in my t-shirts feels a bit tighter and my jeans are slightly looser. Awesome.

Ran the Leeds 10k in 55 mins and feeling a bit gutted, I had a stich for the last 4km which really slowed me down. Oh well, something to improve on. Serves me right for drinking for 9 hours yesterday.

Thanks. The feeling mainly come from with this being a very flat course I was looking forward to seeing my "true" race time would be since I've only done tail runs before. Not the end of the world, though.

Was able to squat 5x6 at 80kg after an hour's cardio last night, which is probably an indication that I should move the weight up a bit next leg day. Ideally I'd like to be back up at my PB of 120kg(or four of my dog) by the end of September. I'm chest pressing at 60kg now as well, which is PB kind of level for that so I'm clearly getting stronger.

Annoyingly enough, I'm not losing any weight. Been hitting the gym, weights and cardio, five times a week for three weeks since I hurt my foot and still sit in at 90kg on the scales. Keeping track of what I eat, too. I'd like to think I'm losing fat and gaining muscle, but I don't even think I am.

Good work!!

I got up to 60kg 5x10 last week, 5 weeks post-op (knee...not sex change!)

Making good progress accordingto Physio, albeit with a compel of clicks that are now there, but I think the main drawback is psychological. I seem reluctant to do things that is not usually give a second thought to! Just cautious about doing too much too soon maybe
