Agreed. Every player has his price but £7m incl add ons is too low I feel for someone with his potential. The £10-12m Liverpool were reportedly turned down for 12 months ago looks like a bad decision now, but interesting that none of the Prem big boys were sniffing around recently unlike 12-18 months ago so maybe he’s not quite all that we thought he was/could be.

By letting him go, we have left ourselves light up top if any injuries or players go off form. Plus he’s gone to a rival team in same division too which could be a kicker.
Just got to hope Karanka has an ace up his sleeve. There’s a rumour Appiah will feature tonight vs Newcastle so wonder if he is viewed as a better prospect than BB? Gomis is also hotly tipped. I’m going tonight so could be a chance to see Appiah up close.

Expecting to see Worrall go on loan to Rangers today/tomorrow but no perm deal linked to that so at least not selling most of the Crown Jewels. Yet.

Keep the faith. FTID

Interesting - could really do a job for us. Not sure about the price though, he'd be one of our record signings if we pay £7m in January.

You’re paying him £16k a week too, supposedly. He’s 19!

But, if you play him correctly (central, not on the wings like we did too often) he can be a menace. Just needs to get stronger in the challenge and become a better finisher but he definitely can improve and become a very decent striker. Scores for England U19s quite regularly too. He's okay. Struggled with a bad injury last year and with el ghazi and yannick coming in he wont be getting mucb game time. Bruce probs has him marked down as another strawberry floating right back anyway. Hopefully he does well for you lot.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Villa fans seem to be going into meltdown over it, so gonna take that as a good sign.

We meltdown over anything. He wont get a game atm. Far too many players in front of him. Grealish did well when he went out on loan lets hope andre does as well

Well that was a pleasant evening on the banks of the River Trent! Great performance in front of the Sky cameras unlike last Saturday.

Murphy played the best I’ve seen him. Hefele was immense and won everything in the air and made 2 great blocks. Carvalho had his best game since he joined. Lolley was showing off his dancing feet to great effect till he went off injured. Byram rampaging down the right was great till he too got injured. Bridcutt bossed the midfield and has to play on Saturday after that. Cash as a late sub was full of energy as usual. Good to see Dias rewarded with a goal, and what a sublime chip that was in the 97th min

Sure, Perez probably should have had a pen at 2-1 in the 95th min or whatever but Newcastle can’t complain at the fact they got knocked out. They didn’t have a shot on target till the 92nd min when Rondon took his goal very well. We had 7 shots on target, scored 3 and if not for a Darlow tipping onto the bar, and a defender blocking Murphy shot almost on the line it would have been more.

Roll on the draw. Home tie please. Would love Man City, Utd, Liverpool, Spurs or Chelsea at home. Fed up playing Arsenal though!

Oh look it's our annual cup exit against either Man United or Chelsea.

Draw against Wycombe, reasonable draw, hopefully we can get a win, and then get drawn against a big boy. Had a couple of good evenings out last year, Arsenal in the 4th round of the EFL Cup and Chelsea in the FA Cup.

They're very beatable if you're a well-organised Premier League team, not so much if you're a Championship B team! Having said that, I'd imagine Frank will put out a strong 11 for this particular occasion.

Stoke at home for us. Not bad but considering the last 4 teams were Forest, Stoke, Man U and Derby, we’ve definitely got the least attractive tie. Would have been great to have MU or DCFC at home.

Hey ho. Roll on Stoke then

So looks like Swansea are not getting any new loan players in bar Carter-Vickers, leaving our squad very very thin.

Off to Millwall away tomorrow... nice knowing you all.

Villa are after Tammy Abraham?

They really do seem to love players that have played for Bristol City!

He's young so liable for a mistake but he plays it simple. I'd describe him as a classic British centre back. Pair him with someone who can play a pass and he'll do very well.
