It was nice to see a Championship side knock Man U out of the cup for the second season in a row. Derby went one better than us though and beat them at Old Trafford. :datass:

Not the greatest game last night, great seeing Tammy again though. Kodja can go strawberry float off!

A point was probably a fair result

I didn’t see any of it, but from what I’ve read a draw was fair to both sides.

Will be immensely disappointed today if we don't put in a professional performance against Bolton. I can imagine the young hot prospects in our team not dealing very well with coming down from beating Manchester United.

By all reports, Wimbledon played awfully, but came away with 3 points. 2 shots on target, 2 goals. And a big strawberry float You to Karl Robinson. Not a bad day I suppose.

For FFS, 74% possession and 17 shots but only 1 on target. Saw that coming!

Just got an awful EFL Cup draw, Bournemouth away. We already had Cardiff away. Another small Premier League side, so it's not a glamour tie, will do nothing for the coffers and we'll be underdogs and it's another midweek trip.

It's crazy how compact the Championship is after 10 games. Up to fifth though, with 4 league wins from 4. Got Derby away next which will be a good test of whether we'll be in and around the top 6 for the long haul. Bonus that you can now watch the matches in Ifollow as well.

Much needed three points

If we can keep Fer fit and dominating midfield we can make a decent playoff push this season I think.

Deeply dissatisfied with us not being knocked out by United or Chelsea in the League Cup, the football gods have delivered us United or Chelsea in the next round .

Bournemouth are eminently beatable - we were really unlucky in the last round at their place.

We’ve only lost one game this season. Unfortunately we’ve only won two(I think). Need to stop conceding stupid goals in the last ten minutes of matches - we’d be at the top of the bloody league but for stupid late lapses!

Sounded like a lovely victory from what I heard.

Nice to see Baker-Richardson score after he got sent off 5 mins into his first league start for us, was worried that may have a real negative impact on him. Sounded like he should have got a bag full as well.

I didn't watch it but he missed one glorious chance in the highlights and another he probably should have scored. My Dad went, and said while he took his goal well (which he really did to be fair) he didn't actually play that well.

Been very impressed by Potter so far. Really think he's a tactical genius, the way he's rotated and changed formations each week with a group largely comprised of youngsters, and used it to get results. If we'd only given him a bit more backing (£6m on Ryan Woods, and a bit more strengthening elsewhere) I'd really be confident of a promotion push. As it is, I think we'll have a decent season but will taper off in the second half. That's fine though as we're obviously building for the future. Just hope we hold onto him.

How did our favourite Villa fan enjoy last nights game?

Hi steve. You're a catastrophe of a manager & a human being. Clearly a bellend. I hope you cholesterol levels are off the chart and you're not allowed to eat kebabs for the rest of your miserable life.

Please forcibly remove the massive spastic from our club. Now @AVFCOfficial

Oops.

Can't blame last night on Bruce. 2-0, then Chester gets a red card on 54'. Villa went 2-3 down but got an equaliser in injury time AND missed a penalty in the 96th minute to win the match.

You say that, but he still shouldn't be allowed anymore kebabs.
