Anyway, did anyone mention what type of connection it is to a TV?

Oh and I think you are trolling, your first post was slagging off the MegaDrive saying the SNES owns it blah blah.

If you really cared so much about GRcade, you'd stop it.

If I don't like something, I reserve my right to say so. And later give reasons why.

Same here.

I don't like you.

That's OK, the feeling is mutual.

That's basically the definition of trolling.

Going into every topic you don't like and saying so is trolling.

So you're allowed to have an opinion, as long as it agrees with the forum's?

The thing about freedom of expression is that you need to have some sense of when it's appropriate to use it. You don't. At all.

How is this inappropriate? It is a discussion of the Mega Drive, and I expressed my views on it. If the thread was called "If you love the Mega Drive, post here", then it would be inappropriate. As it stands my points are as valid as anyone elses.

One of these. Has the exact same ends that plug into the back of the console.

And please stop the bickering people. I wanted to show what the new console looked like and perhaps a discussion on what games people would be replaying on it. That said, only played a couple of games and they seemed to work fine and play great.

Played that earlier and it's still good fun. Even have the passwords written down on the manual .

Is the AV port at the back the same as the old MD?

I had RGB leads made for my MD & 32x 8-)

EDIT: Sorry just seen you have answered this :fp:

I'd pay quite a bit for a portable region free SNES with component 480p output and the ability to play ROMS from a micro sd slot.

Hmmm...I believe you can make a PSP-2000 (is that the one with the AV output?) do something very similar, only with a Memory Stick.

Dunno about portable, but you should look into getting the wii homebrew channel installed. The version of Snes9x emulator it runs supports 480p and works really well.

Also, you can make a DS/DS Lite play SNES game, although there is no external video output, and it does cut off part of the screen for some reason.

I have no idea how far I ever got in the game, maybe only up to the Indiana Jones level.

Just given it a bit of thought, and I don't think that would be all that difficult to manufacture at a low cost, especially if it used software emulation. It wouldn't need to be particularly big, either.

Has anyone with one of these tried Virtua Racing? It's about the only Md game I think I still have, would love another go on it if it works...

I will still have this. I have my Rolo to the Rescue cart ready and waiting.

Rolo to the Rescue was one of my favourite games on the Mega Drive! It wasn't very popular at all, no one ever mentions it but it's such a great game. Played it again recently on the DS, good memories, still have my cart :)

Totally agree! I wish I kept my Mega Drive. May well pick one of these new machines up. I love that it has a slot for old cartridges, but I don't have any. Hmm, I wonder where I could pick some up...
