C'mon Raiders!

Whilst looking up that image I saw a piece of news that made me jizz myself. That's Kerry King from Slayer, btw.

I was looking over the Vikings roster to see if there was anyone I knew and saw Brett Favre as one of their QBs. Isn't that equivalent of Steven Gerrard moving from Liverpool to Everton or United?

It is indeed, have you not been following all the off season news? It was specualtion and rumour for ages, then he said he was staying retired, then one day out of the blue he was flown to Minnesota and signed for the Vikings. All very intriguing stuff. Big gamble so itll be interesting to see how it pans out.

Haven't followed it for years apart from seeing the Super Bowl results in the news. It's one of those things which I'd watch if I had the means to. The commentary's usually much better than that of proper football and that makes up for a 2-3 minute break in the action after about 20 seconds of play.

Are there any decent NFL sites you'd recommend?

Theyre the big ones, the only ones I ever really use as well. Page 2 on ESPN can be pretty funny too, well worth a look from time to time.

'MON THE VIKES.

Favre as QB though. :fp: We'll see what happens.

Hopefully we'll have sky at our house at uni. We got the man cave, the beer fridge. All we need is the game.

It's not quite on the same level, Favre is 39 don't forget, so it's not like he's switched sides whilst at his peak. Although to be fair, he could probably still go on for a few more years.

EDIT: Just seen the fixtures on page 1, looks like I get to watch the Titans from the get go!

No Monday night football until at least a month into the season, with NFL UK working with Sky to get the red button games back.

Many fans on the NFL UK forum are understandably pissed.

Hmm, not sure what to think of the Chargers this season. The talent is on the roster and there are no injury worries, so in theory they should be contenders. I just can't trust them though.

Props to you again for making them.

I think theyll be dangerous, Tomlinson aint the same but they have Sproles as a more than capable second option. I like Rivers too, I think he has the potential to be a top class QB. The return of Merriman should see the defence be much more intimidating as well, assuming that knee healed ok.

I still haven't forgiven him for his strawberry floatin' failed pass (or should that be passes?) in the Dolphins game last year that put the Pats out, despite them finishing with an 11-5 record :x

if by "here" you mean good old Blighty then the match is live on Sky Sports 2, programme starts at 1am tomorrow morning. I'm sure you could probably stream it on justin.tv or a site like that
