My Dad says that Lawrence Tynes is my cousin, but I remain sceptical. My word that guy can kick balls.

Lawrence Tynes is actually my uncle.

Regardless, I have elected, this season, and every other season from here on in, to support the Oakland Raiders. Celebrity fans of the Raiders include:

Update regarding the TV rights for the upcoming season:

NFLUK wrote:NFL UK will continue their relationship with Five for the twelfth consecutive year after the two sides came to an agreement to show Sunday Night Football live in the UK.

Five will air Sunday Night Football for seventeen weeks, starting from Sunday September 13th, when their coverage of the 2009 NFL season begins with the clash between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. Coverage on Five will begin at approximately 1:00am each Sunday night. [Jay Cutler's Chicago Bears regular season debut will be the first game shown on Five during their 2009 NFL coverage. Photo AP]

Heading up Five's coverage of the games in the studio for the third consecutive year will be Mike Carlson and Nat Coombs. The live game commentary will be taken from NBC's coverage from the USA, with Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth voicing the action.

"We are thrilled to be working with Five for a twelfth consecutive season, and I know that Mike and Nat's NFL presentation is popular with NFL UK fans," said NFL UK Managing Director Alistair Kirkwood. "Five give us the opportunity to get wide-spread coverage for our sport ahead of a third consecutive NFL regular season game at Wembley."

"I'm really excited to be back on Five," said Five NFL presenter Mike Carlson. "For the past 11 seasons we have tried to provide a different approach to the NFL season and give our audience an in-depth analysis of the live games we are covering and a bit of relaxed entertainment. It's going to be great to work with Nat again."

Further details of NFL TV coverage in the UK will be released in the coming days.

A list of confirmed Sunday Night Football fixtures is below. Sunday Night Football fixtures between Weeks 11-16 are subject to change.

I'm watching NFL Total Access as I type. I'm a BIG fan of American Football and have been for over 25 years now. Just hoping my inconsistent Redskins will make the playoffs this season. Our defence should be strong again this year but god knows who's going to score points for us outside of Santana Moss and Clinton Portis as the offense is a joke. This is a big year for Jason Campbell. If he can't become the man at QB then it's time for us to look elsewhere.

Can't believe Mike Vick has gone to the Eagles. To be honest I would have liked the Redskins to pick him up. Our back up QB's are nobodies. Redskins are definitely the Man City of the NFL.....loads of cash being spent but the jury is out if these guys can gel and make things happen.

I misread the thread title as "Boobs Welcome".

Needless to say I am very disappointed.

Boobs are more then welcome in the NFL!

Im Wembley bound, 2nd year in a row and I get to see my Patriots play live. Im very excited. Interesting atmosphere at it last year, everyone cheered for everything. Slight bias towards the Saints, they were the "home" team after all and they gave everyone a flag, but soon as the chargers made a big play the fans were cheering anyway. Hopefully well get another good game this year.

So you suffered through all the bad years and then missed the unleashing of the Wildcat and a record equalling turn around?

Suddenly St Anger makes a lot more sense.

Also this year will be the year the Colts win it all again. I said that last year and the year before but this time I mean it!
