Also I had every single Pog and every Tazo. Plus I had all of those Looney Tunes things that werent quite either but I forget their names. Had a friend of the family who worked at the place they made them so I just used to get complete set boxes to make all the other kids jealous.

mummy strawberry floating Pogs and Tazos man - I think I still have an almost-complete set of the star wars Tazos that were in crisps or something in the late 90s, including the ultra-rare 50th one. I remember buying a whole load of shitty bootleg pogs with all kinds of weird gooseberry fool on them.

Aw man, I never had Screwball Scramble but always wanted it.

Like I said, toys with moving parts were the bomb in the 80s.

Mighty Max! I had the snake, scorpion and the shark.

Yes! I had the top-left skull, snake and spider. They were so cool.

I had these Power Rangers toys:

Which combined to make this:

I even had one of these to fold them all up and wheel them about in:

Did anyone else collect Monster Wrestlers in my Pocket?

I'm pretty sure I had a complete set, obtained through some fierce playground trading and negotiation.

Never had the big ones, but my brother and I had quite the collection of Mini Boglins.

A friend of mine had all those power rangers ones with the big carry case, was mad jelly.

I had the power rangers themselves, though they were made out of some weird rubber stuff.

What was the game that had a giant metallic gorilla leaning over a mountain? Think it was a pinball type game.

I had the space invaders one. I could never experience the 3d effect as my face wasn't big enough, so I used to close one eye :fp:

On the subject of meccano, we used to have (as well as Lego), Stickle Bricks.

A kind of strawberry floating gooseberry fool version of Lego.

Something else I got when I was about 6 or 7. Was staying at my aunt's for a summer holiday ( :dread: ) and my birthday was during that time.

This bad boy turned up in the post:

Basically, the cars just collide (or they can collide with anything), all the parts are ejected, you re-assemble them and begin again.

Oh man! A pal had those and they were ace! I don't think they lasted too long, though - we used to *really* smash them together and the bits used to fly off everywhere.

Outside of the legendary Action Man figures, another range that I really liked back in the 70s was Fighting Furies:

Captain Peg Leg and Captain Hook . It was like an early Assassin's Creed (except we had better missions).

I'm going to think that you didn't know that was supposed to happen and threw them away after one use. :D

I had this:

and yes it was as amazing as it looks. Sadly I think it got chucked away, but I've saved my other micro machines.

Holy crap, that's brilliant. Micro Machines were after my time a bit, but I can totally see the appeal.
