KNex and Meccano were always my gooseberry fool.

Also I had every single Pog and every Tazo. Plus I had all of those Looney Tunes things that werent quite either but I forget their names. Had a friend of the family who worked at the place they made them so I just used to get complete set boxes to make all the other kids jealous.

Outside of the legendary Action Man figures, another range that I really liked back in the 70s was Fighting Furies:

Captain Peg Leg and Captain Hook . It was like an early Assassin's Creed (except we had better missions).
