Spectacular playset. I remember bringing that in to "show and tell" when I was about 6 or something. Loved Mighty Max.

Micromachines bring back memories. I had loooads. That air craft carrier earlier looks amazing. The military themed stuff was fantastic. I had that amazing base shown too, with the collapsing bridges and walls. The tanks etc looked fantastic. Some of the detail was very impressive. Had Star Wars Micro machines too including...



Action Man was another childhood favourite. No idea how my parents put up with the size of some of them.

Anybody remember Combat Cards? They were basically Warhammer-esque Top Trumps.

I used to collect random figurines and make them play football matches with balls of screwed up tinfoil. The power of imagination, people.

Oh my god this thread

I've got (or had) a lot of what's been shown in the last 5 pages. Screwball scramble, manta force, starcom, boglins, micro machines

I know I still have all of these in Dad's loft so I'll get them back one day...VISIONARIES!




I had nearly a complete set of those as there was a shop in Scotland called 'what everyone wants' which had them all in the loft of the toy section, but for some reason they were always on sale, so when we went there mum would usually buy me one of the big sets.

Yes combat cards. I still have them, used to take them on holiday and play them with my wife until a few years ago now my son is growing up it will be time to extend their life even further.

Can anyone remember the name of this toy, it was a battery powered monster truck which had rectractable 'claws' inside the wheels that helped it climb over stuff.

Mine ended up sitting on my windowsill as the batteries only lasted for about an hour, they were those huge D type ones which were both expensive and hard to find.

All I ever wanted was a 80's Soundwave. Never got it. Years later I did get a Soundwave tile puzzle though I still have it

I always wanted Soundwave too. I found the idea of the transforming cassettes absolutely amazing.

I believe I still have my Soundwave, that was a Christmas present, I got Soundwave and my Brother got Megatron, full on Decepticon house

Obviously I had tons of Action Force, these were huge (I think they are still at my folks house)

Bloody Toys R Us, got me excited about the brand only for my very young self to find there were no stores within a wide radius and so i didn't get to go.

Well gooseberry fool.

When we cleared dad's house my visionaries were all there, but they were strawberry floating trashed and not worth keeping. Was painful throwing them all out.
