Maybe that's why he was putting on so much weight. The only thing I've really enjoyed from the GB crew recently was Patrick's solo late-night video playthrough of a good part of Outlast. I still get the podcast every week, but frankly I'm not listening a lot of the time as I find they tend to get a bit dull. I miss Ryan. Can't help it, but I do.

I now realise how much Ryan brought to The Bombcast.

The show is simply not as good without him unfortunately.

I still enjoy listening to the podcast when I'm playing Spelunky or Civ V but you can really feel Ryan's absence.

Completely agree.

I still like listening to it but it's now much more of a mish-mash of a show with only a vague direction of where it's going.

I'm sure it'll pick up when he hit some big releases. They've done a Saints Row 3 with Saints Row 4 in that they can't really talk about the game without talking about the crazy gooseberry fool that will actually ruin the crazy gooseberry fool for people who haven't played it yet.

I'd imagine once we see GTA5, and the new consoles, we'll hear some more focussed discussion about this stuff.

I'm still enjoying the podcast, although not as much as before. The loss of Ryan has been a massive thing, and it will take these guys a long time to recover from it. But I tend to still enjoy the game chat because they seem to have a similar attitude to gaming as I do. It's just a game, meant to be a piece of entertainment. Not something to get all pretentious about.

I agree. When they get talking about the industry, the new consoles etc it's really good, but a lot of the time it's unfocused. I think they need to bring in someone else soon, losing Dave and Patrick has made Ryan's absence even more noticeable. It's weird that Matt Rorie is part of the team but rarely included, but I guess he's doing Dave's old role so can't spend his time making content for the site.

I watched a small part of it and I think it from after they have completed the story. They don't really spoil anything though, I don't think.

I watched all of it and it is after the completion of the main story. They do one side quest and one heist, I think. There are two phone calls that happen which might spoil certain interactions the characters have but they don't seem like anything major. Rest is just Jeff fooling around.

Edit: Now that I think of it, they might have done two side quests.

I'll watch it after I have finished the game then. To anyone who watches the current live stream can you tell me at what point in the game they start and finish. I assume they are starting from the beginning of the game.

I've started watching that right now. Vinny says it is at the beginning, right after the prologue.
