It's not user error it is an android error for not managing the process properly, android should be sleeping the process but isn't so God knows how that isn't happening.

Whilst I've barely used Facebook in years, I've always stuck to the mobile browser because the app kills battery and I imagine has more permissions to access data than the browser.

Yuuuuuup.

Got a strange problem hopefully someone can help me with. Since yesterday I'm not receiving notifications on my phone for new e-mails. When I open the e-mail app there are new messages, just no notification is received to show they are there. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled but this makes no difference. I've checked battery optimisation to ensure it isn't only running in the background but this doesn't seem to be the case. Any suggestions?

That's been happening to me in a few Google apps lately, too. Allo being the chief culprit. There might have been a dodgy update to Play Services in the last few days.

Interesting. I've been using Bluemail and also have Mailwise installed. Neither of these are showing notifications so I have setup Gmail.

Turned on my old OnePlus with Mailwise (and I guess an older version of Play Services) and the e-mail notifications all seem to work. This does seem to point to a services issue.

Anyone else excited to see the OP6? I think given the release schedule I'll hold off and get the OP6T 6 months later.

No. I think the OP5 will be my last OP. Releasing the OP5T so soon after the OP5 and at the same price leaves a bad taste.

It's hard to get excited about any new phone now as all the updates are so iterative. What are they going to add to the 6? Update the processor and camera and maybe add waterproofing. Motorola's Moto Mods was the last really innovative idea when it came to phone design and that's been a let down as they haven't produced great phones to match a cool idea.

Getting my S8 today, after smashing my S7. I'm unnecessarily excited.

It's a lovely design. I might just be a complete idiot but I watched a couple of YouTube videos with tips and tricks for the S9 and it was genuinely helpful. I have no idea how you'd know some of these things exist unless you go through every menu and the sub menu.

Anyone ever had issues with Amazon delivering a phone. On the website it said next day delivery.

But after ordering they just have a message 'we will email you when this is dispatched'

No Estimated delivery date, no nothing.

And yet when I go on the website it's all the same. Saying phone available for next day delivery.

I've spoken to their customer assistants on live chat load's and they're about as useful as gooseberry fool in a toaster.

Is it Amazon selling it or a 3rd party on Amazon.

Amazon themselves. I've escalated it to a 'manager' now, but still have to wait to hear back from them. Ahh well. Amazon have messed me around a good deal of late. Wish I didn't have credit with them to spend! (although its better than my actual money I guess)

I'm almost a year into Android now, and I wish I was still using my Windows Phone.

Is it Android or the specific phone you have?
