I'm waiting for my dream phone. Water resistant, front facing (decent) speakers, qhd screen, 5 inch screen (any larger is unwieldy imo), brilliant battery life, beastin performance, large internal storage as well as a micro SD slot and no shitey OEM skin (or at least a lightweight skin a la Sony's current setup). A man can dream right?

Isn't that basically an Xperia Z5?

EDIT - Forgot the Z5 only has a 1080p screen...really though, I'm not sure a qhd screen (or more) is really necessary on a phone.

Which is just stupid really. And also too expensive to consider I'd imagine.

And when recording 4k it can do it only for a few minutes before it stops to prevent over heating. Total waste if time they were idiots to release it.

Formatted my SD card as internal memory this memory and Amazon Prime and Sky Go still say there is insufficient storage :|

Seeing as when apps are updated they will move back to internal memory, SD cards are more or less redundant for anything other than photos or music. Android need to get a phone out with more than 32GB internal memory as people who want more than this have no choice but to go with an iPhone.

One Plus Two? Or the original One Plus One? Both have 64GB.

Yes?

Don't you have been in the Masons to get one?

Still absolute nonsense that Google have allowed this, all it's done is format an SD card so I can't use it again and given me no additional functionality.

I stand corrected, I will have a look a look at both of these.

Still don't understand the SD formatting thing, what a waste of time.

Available to buy without an invite now...

https://oneplus.net/uk/oneplus-2

6P is obviously quite a bit more expensive...

https://store.google.com/product/nexus_6p

Moto X Style and Moto X Force also offer 64GB options...

As does the Samsung Galaxy S6...

And a whole bunch of lesser known phones, there's a new Huawei which has a 64GB option I think, Mate 8. Huge 6" thing I believe.

Thanks Hugo, the One plus Two looks amazing value but I'd probably go for the Nexus.

You could buy 2 One Plus Two phones for the price of a Nexus 6P 64GB.

Yeah I know, I've read various reviews, top 10's, etc and have covered the spectrum of sticking with my current phone to saying strawberry float it and getting a Macbook air, iPad and iPhone.

Seriously though you're right about the price, even if I hated it I'd only have to keep it a couple of months.

After having it for a day, my Pixel C is already getting replaced under warranty.

Whenever I try to make a purchase of a paid app on it, I just get an error message "Error retrieving information from server [RPC:S-7:AEC-0]". Purchases work fine on my Nexus6P so the issue seems specific to the tablet.
Have tried all the troubleshooting steps I can find online, clearing data from Play Store and Google Framework Services, no effect. Have removed my Google account from the device, rebooted and then re-added the account, no effect. Done a complete factory reset but still the same issue when I go to the Play Store and try to make a purchase of any paid for app.

On the one hand, it doesn't seem like something that would be caused by a hardware issue. But on the other hand, it doesn't seem like an account issue since it's specific to just this one device.

Weird.

I crumbled and ordered one with the discount yesterday...its only gone and turned up today.

Did a transfer from my Galaxy Tab S, everything seemed to come over ok. No problems installing anything and it seems to be downloading stuff speedily enough.

Humble Bundle app seems to cause a few issues, but nothing showstopping.

Finally sorted out the issue I was having with the Play Store App on the Pixel C.

The replacement tablet didn't work, had exactly the same issue, so it seems it was some kind of issue with my account. If I accessed the My Account section on the Play Store app I also got the same message when it tried to display my payment info. To test I created another Google account and registered it on the tablet instead of my primary account, and immediately it worked perfectly fine, could make purchases from the Play Store no problem, display registered payment methods, not an issue.
I opened another support call with Google who were pretty stumped, so said they'd need to escalate things up to their specialists. I was kinda stuck, but at least I could still download, so I could still purchase via other devices and the web store.

Just as a last ditch attempt, I downloaded Firefox onto the tablet and accessed the web store via that (attempting to do so via Chrome just immediately opened the app instead) and through there I could access my payment info fine. But that was when I noticed there was a Carrier payment method registered, that I put there way back on my Sony Z2, and I've never changed carriers since. So I decided to remove that payment method, cleared data/cache for Google Play Framework and Store, then restarted the tablet. Lo and behold, I can make purchases on the tablet!
Could've been the carrier payment method was causing issues, since the tablet is WiFi only, or maybe logging into the store via another browser on the device caused some kind of authentication to take place. Either way, it's working now, but it was definitely a weird one.
