Not too impressed with Plex so far. Trying to watch some stuff on my tablet and it starts OK, runs fine then after a minute comes up with a message saying to sign in a pay. I sign in and it just repeats. Not sure what's going on. Certainly don't want to pay for it if it just keeps stopping.

Quick question, is there any way to install apps to an SD card? My phone only seems to let me store music and videos on there.

Also I got a Google Play card for christmas that I still haven't used. So I'd welcome any game or app suggestions.

In app manager it will give you the option of whether the app can be moved to SD. If rooted you can move most things I think.

As for games, Hitman Go is excellent.

It shouldn't do that so maybe a bug ,mines flawless .Have you googled the issue yet.

Yeah actually. Had a look and it took me to the plex forum and a bunch of posts this week with the same problem. However the plex staff member said it was being looked into, but it was only mentioned as an Amazon fire issue. Clearly a recent bug but I'm not using a Fire.

Also you might find a setting that allows you to set the default install location to SD card or internal memory. If you install something like App2SD, after you install something it will let you know if it can be moved and give you the option to move it.

Think I've sorted Plex out. Just had to pay the one time fee for Android. Fine with that, but not entirely sure why the site persistently says it's free to use if you don't need cloud and all the other premium perks. Instead of letting me play 1 minute of a show and popping up telling me to sign in, it should not even let me start watching and just say "to view this on Android, a one time payment is needed".

Irritating but hopefully sorted.

It is down to their odd sub thing, if you have a sub you dont pay for the app, if you have the sub you get the app free.

Daft really they should just make the apps free and charge for the cloud storage, offline versions and such like.

I quite like the idea of cloud, it is just a shame that to make it a viable option I would need a mass of online space and it would cost me a fortune.

Seems a bit meh on the announcements today although the news that Samsung are doing away with expandable memory on the S6 and S6 edge was a bit of a surprise. I still have no idea why anyone would buy an edge though.

Because not many people will have one and it looks cool.

I thought we were meant to be getting phones with reversible USB this year. The S6 and One M9 both appear to micro USB. That's a bit disappointing.

Losing the dust and water proofing seems like a backwards step.

As part of a settlement it looks like they're bundling the phone with microsoft apps and 115gb of OneDrive storage. So take the expandable memory away so more people will use the cloud storage.

The whole reason I chose Samsung over a more stock phone was the SD card slot. I don't want my music in the cloud, I want it locally on my phone.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

How much music do you have? Isn't something like 64GB internal storage more than enough for most people?

Yes?

Yeah but when you add in a few games, emails, pictures and that stuff you have maxed it.

Really? I have 47GB remaining on my phone and I can't see me running out the way I use it. People who have phones with 64GB internal storage, how much do you have left?

Yes?

Got myself a bit of a dilemma.

Should I go for the One Plus One phone or the LG G3?

I use an iPod for music as can't use my phone and dont really want to but for illustration have currently 35gb of Music on my iPod, my phone is currently using 16.96 GB of its storage so if I used by phone and my phone has 64gb storage I would be using 51.96 GB of the 64gb

App usage gradually increases over the life of the phone with updates and additional stuff so yeah I would run out quickly. Plus I found when I did use my phone for music and as a phone having the storage near full kill performance.

Seems like the official line is they cut the micro SD and removable battery due to the redesign. I always like having a micro SD slot as an option so I can buy the lowest storage model to save money and upgrade it myself. Most people will probably be happy with the 32gig base model and will upgrade on their contract.
