No, even if Samsung reduce the amount of bloat on the device the networks will still fill it with their gooseberry fool that will be unremovable.

I think we should follow suit with South Korean and stop companies from filling devices with unremoveable bloatware.

They can fill the device with bloat all they wish, just allow me to remove it without screwing with my warranty.

I think Andro should go more like Windows Phone in that respect where networks etc. can install stuff but it is un-installable by the user.

Or manufacturers follow One Plus where rooting does not void the warranty.

While you can't uninstall pre-loaded apps on Android, you can disable them. This at least stops them running or showing up in the app tray, so they won't slow anything down.

Every strawberry floating app is unstable as strawberry float; crashing out of pretty much every app whenever I try and use it. Using it to post anything is a no go because the keyboard won't stay up for more than a couple of seconds. It's a mess. I tried a factory reset but that only got rid of data and apps, not the OS that is causing the problem so nothing has changed.

Take a look at cyanogen mod they have an app you can download that walls you through the process and does 99% of it for you now.

It would seem Lolliflop is out for the Note 3 on Vodafone in the UK apparently.

But not the damn note 4 :x

Mind you it seems to drain battery on the note 3 and increase cpu temp. on the GS5 it seems to run like a dog.

Will see how it goes, but I won't be updating when it first comes out.

I updated my Note 4 manually using the update that released in Germany.. so far no problems other than wifi cutting out which was down to the setting "auto switch between 5ghz and 2ghz" being ticked, has been fine since unticked that. Other than that, not had any battery drain or heating problems.. it's not a massive change but phone does seem a little faster. I did a full reset when I upgraded it though (before the update and again after) so that may be as much of a factor as the update itself.. overall though it seems pretty decent. Can finally use Google Now from my Moto Hint headset too (previously it either triggered Samsungs S Voice thing or Google Voice Dialler)..

Well, my nexus 7 went tits up again, apps stopped opening, rebooted and was stuck on the 4 balls again, so I've now gone back to 4.4.2 and rooted to get rid of the system updates notifications, she be flying right now :)

My moto g2 FINALLY got 5.0.2 and the shitty memory leak problem appears to have gone. Was about to send it back to Amazon as it was getting seriously bad. New changes are taking time to get used to, but lollipop seems ok so far.

Still waiting for the update to hit the Moto G v1 :( Good to hear they've fixed the memory leak though.

The memory leak was bad but the wifi issue is a ball ache, that and the fact that a lot of people are also having issues with using mobile data as well after the update. I think it taking time is the best thing tbh.

Maybe the next major update will be properly tested.

Apparently the Samsung S5 lollipop fix update for unlocked devices is available to download, sadly the ones locked to a network are still waiting a release.

Installed Plex last night and had a little look. Already confused so I'll have a proper look tonight :fp: I was expecting a standalone kind of program. I click on the Plex option in my start menu and it does nothing? Should it load something up? I therefore have to go to Plex through my browser. Is that correct? I'll look at the guide in a sec, but that just through me off.

Also...as a test I added 2 seasons of Alan Partridge. Plex then called series 1 Game of Thrones and series 2....Teen Mom?? Complete with teen mom poster

I'd definitely watch a version of Game of Thrones with Alan Partridge in it.
