I broke my phone.

My sim card is a nano sim, I went to the shop but the language barrier is bad and everything is written in greek. Is there a list out there somewhere that tells you which phones accept nano sim?

No point buying a cheap replacement if my sim wont fit.

Just buy an adapter for the SIM, should cost no more than a pound (or equivalent) you can then use it in any phone.

Anyone got a smart watch? I'm considering getting one, mainly as a fitness tracker, but like the idea of it being android based so I'm not tied into one companies software; say if I got a Garmin. It seems there's no perfect watch out there, but the Huawei Watch 2 ticks most of my boxes. Anyone got it, or any others?

I have a Garmin Vivoactive HR and it's really good, not as swish is and android and not great for notifications but health stuff it is awesome. GPS is solid battery is about a week and a bit and does sleep tracking and full on waterproof.

I have a Pebble Time Steel. Unfortunately, no longer supported but you can still buy from Amazon for a very good price. Pebble got a lot right with this, understanding that a smart watch is in addition to and not a replacement for your phone. Notification handling is great and you get 10 days between charges. As a bonus it is waterproof and you can change the strap for any strap of the same measurements.

Also still using my Pebble Time Steel. Really only get a week out of the battery how I use it, but its much better than any other similar device out there for me.

Such a shame what happened. The new Fitbit smart watch looks absolutely terrible.

I've not seen that but hoped it would be a worthy replacement. Guess I'll have to get a couple more Pebbles once they hit rock bottom on Amazon.

Hello people...anyone here got a Nexus 6P on latest Android? I think it's 7.0.2. Anyway, I'm getting a phone shutdown at, like 15%...sometimes it will be nearer 30%. At that point, it will not turn on again until it's plugged into a charger. Really odd. Then, when it starts up again, it'll be on 20% battery.

I've looked about and I can see some that are saying that it's software, and some say it's hardware...just wondering if anyone else has had this. It's kind of taken the shine off an, otherwise awesome, phone.

Not to steal the limelight from NGE but seeing this thread bumped reminded me I should post here too: So, after literally six months, and umming and ahhing and eventually compromising based on needing a reasonably-priced phone and so forth, I got a new Android phone today. Anything I should know as a complete beginner to Android smartphones (and to an extent smartphones in general, as I'm not sure my old Windows phone really counts :slol: )?

I think that might be a warranty issue nge. You might be able to train your phone by charging it to 100% and draining it completely a few times without doing top up charges, I've heard that helps. But I doubt it, worth a shot though eh?

Karl - the best thing about android is that it's highly customisable. I mean it's based off Linux. Personally ignoring chrome I would bet my two most used apps are for audio. Spotify for music and Pocket Casts for podcasts. Pocket Casts is a paid app but according to the stats I've played 74 days and 1 hour of podcast audio since January 2016 (though a quarter of that I was probably asleep for lol). So £2.99 is a bargain.

You can now also make use of the GRcade app. 8-)

Other apps to check out are Showbox, Nova Launcher, All Connect, Mobdro...

A guy I work with has the same issue with the same phone, but it's nearer 50% where his shuts down. His solution has been to buy a power bank.

I think my wife's new Moto G4 just got strawberry floated by the latest Android update, in exactly the same way her old G4 did - outside the house, it has no signal and makes the notification tone/vibration every few seconds. It's only a month old. Her last was 11 months old when an update killed it. Her SIM is fine, and we're pretty sure the updates killed her receiver or something else inside it.

My G4's still going strong at 15 months old with no issues to speak of.

I came to the same conclusion actually...I sent it back today, to O2. Then, spent ten minutes looking at the reviews for the company that does O2's repairs, and wished I hadn't. Think they'll just wipe it and send it back...but I already did that. I heard that some companies just flash it back to Marshmallow. Hmm.

I'll let you know how I get on then...I wouldn't say a power bank was a solution. :dread:

Moving from being a contractor to permanent employee at work in October and one of the perks is 30% off phone contracts. If I didn't have a OnePlus 3T I'd be all over a reduced S8+.

I'll get a SIM only deal until the next round of phones come out I think.

Missed my Apple Watch so got myself a Samsung Fit2, so I can see how little steps I've done :toot:

The Pipboy 3000 (24hr) watch face is bloody lovely!

I had one of those, sent it back after 2 weeks as the GPS was utter utter gooseberry fool.

Went on a couple of bike rides and it spent the whole time saying I needed to be outside and it couldn't get GPS signal despite me being on a path beside massive open fields.

And my 5x has decided to update to Oreo today, just before I fly abroad and it's sent it into a bootloop. Fuming.
