Might get the S8 when it comes out this year.

My Nexus 6P is still great, but I've had it more or less since they launched and recently noticed the battery isn't lasting as long as it used to.

Depends what Samsung are asking for it though.

Had a Huawei p8 and it was a great phone until I cracked the screen , rocking a honor 5c which is pretty much the same spec as the p8 and it's around £150 not sure I'll bother to upgrade as it does everything my LG G4 (got the boot loop issue) does with a better battery life.

Downloaded Nougat for my S7 Edge. Not sure I like the new notification system at all. Hmm.

Anyway, more significantly I'm seeing a massive dropoff in battery life. At the end of a usual day at work I'd usually have 50/60% left. Yesterday I hit 45 and after that it lasted for barely an hour. I've gone in and set every app except whatsapp to sleep mode, so we'll see how that works but still...

Dropped my 9 months old Samsung galaxy S7 edge today. Despite the tech 21 case it landed face down and the screen shattered. I expect that from an iPhone not an android device. Gutted.

Already ordered the pixel. Hopefully it'll never happen again .

Any advice on what to do with my broken screen Samsung? As it'll cost hundreds to fix the screen.

Not covered on my contents insurance and my bank account is a free one so not covered there either.

Might try selling it on eBay as even a S7 with a cracked screen goes for around £150.

Yeah, that's nonsense from Errkal. Most bank accounts don't come with any insurance of any kind.

It is very much a niche bank account that comes bundled with insurance in exchange for a monthly cost.

Contents cover would only cover it if you paid extra for either accidental damage or unspecified personal possessions cover.

So a few months ago I mentioned I was tempted by the Moto Z. Most people seemed to think that it wasn't the best choice, and a OnePlus 3 would be a better option, which seemed sensible after I'd checked the specs.

However the Moto Z is now £299 at John Lewis, a whopping £200 off RRP.

Surely that's a hell of a lot of phone for that price, right? Properly tempted.

*Shrugs* I have 2 Halifax accounts one joint one personal both have mobile insurance built in, 2 phones on the joint account 1 on my personal one.

I'm pretty sure my nationwide account hasn't it too.

Halifax offers 3 bank accounts. An everyday current account, a reward current account and the ultimate reward current account. The first 2 are free (2nd one actually pays you £3 a month) and the one you have costs £15 a month (but gets £3 knocked off if you pay salary in and pay out 2 direct debits).

Nationwide has a similar account too (are you not over insuring yourself for the same things? Why do you need 3 travel insurance policies?) but most people in the UK choose to have a free bank account which never includes mobile phone insurance built in.

It might be technically true to say most banks have a current account product with mobile phone cover but it ignores the other fact that most people don't choose those particular current accounts because of the monthly fee - "you expect me to pay you to access MY money" - also if you only want phone cover, aren't bothered by travel cover or breakdown cover, you'd be better off taking a normal mobile phone insurance policy. Mine costs me £60 a year. Travel insurance last year for 3 holidays (Vegas, Italy, Ireland) cost me in total about £28.

Meh, either way some accounts have it sorry for saying most, point is I know a lot of people on those accounts that don't use the mobile cover until it is pointed out they could.

The Halifax one is pretty good and IMO worth the money, it is £15 but for that I'm using 2 mobiles covers, AA cover, travel insurance so I think I get my money's worth for £15.

Bah. After 2 and a half years on 3 mobile's £15 a month SIM only deal (200 minutes, unlimited 4G data, 4gb personal hotspot* and 5000 texts), they're insisting on forcing me onto a new more expensive package or going to a new mobile network.

Signing up to a 12 months contract will mean I pay £19 per month and get:

Unlimited 4G Data
30GB Personal hotspot
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Minutes
12 Month contract

Or at £18 per month, it'd be 30GB data instead.

Or 30 day rolling contract would be £22 a month.

Damn you £4 bump in price! Don't need even 30 minutes a month! Although I imagine no other network can match that first deal I'm being offered?

*I don't think mobile networks can tell the difference when you tether an android phone to an android tablet or even a Windows PC. I think that's an iPhone thing?

Are you sure it's unlimited data as I thought they stopped that with the ending of One plan ( I got kicked off that last year)
Tbh if it is unlimited everything (except hotspot I'd snap three's hand off) I'm paying £19 for 600 minutes 8gb data unlimited texts but my contract ended last month so I might try a wrangle something out of them.
Also feel at home data is dire.

Feel at home was amazing in Vegas but it was quite slow in Ireland, France and Italy.

I pay Three £20/month and get 200 minutes, Unlimited 4G Data, Unlimited Texts and 30GB of Hotspot Data. That's on a 30 day rolling contract.
It was £12.90/month until last year.

That's a great price odd you say about feel at home in Vegas being good, as last September I was in California and Vegas and it was poor in both and Spain aswell.
