The worst one had to be what they did to hokenheim, absolute travesty.

They murdered that circuit. They carved it up and then wondered why nobody attended. They turned it from being a classic venue into being another cookie cutter Tilkedrome.

There used to be a time when the calendar was full of really varied tracks, from high downforce Monaco to strawberry float all downforce Hockenheim. It meant the best car had to be the one that was most versatile. Nowadays all the tracks are so similar that you only need to design the car around one concept and if your car is good enough you will get the same result week on week.

What I don't understand is why they're proposing the change. Is it for 'safety'?

Probably, although to be fair the corner us pretty much a mirror version of tambourello so the potential four it to be dangerous is certainly there.

either that or to get more sponsor space on that part of the track for DHL, Rolex & Pirelli as i read that is one of the few corners in F1 which has no sponsor's on that part of the track.

From the Renault car launch. Apparently the livery will change again in the coming weeks.

Magnussen has officially replaced Maldonado, and Esteban Ocon has joined as the 3rd driver.

Sexy car, I like that a lot.

Bloody hell: every year I say I'm done with F1, then the cars are unveiled and I get drawn back in again.

Steve Jones may be the new presenter on C4.

Used to host X-Factor USA and date Alex Jones (of the One Show). Very smug, self-satisfied type of bloke.

Got a link?

I can't seem to find it. There should really be a rule where if a thread rolls over the last post is a link to the new one!

I agree. If you ignore the Red Bull's livery, the shape is decent. Keen to see what the teams that don't let the work experience lad design the graphics can do.
