How about going back to the six tyres that was tried for a short time?

https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid ... eeled%20f1

That should sort out the front tyre grip problem during overtaking.

That is very nice indeed. Great to have variation in paint jobs across the grid.

That said, it's a shame we'll be losing the Lotus black and gold. The E21 for example was a very nice looking car:

As an aside, I actually think they did such a nice job with the stepped nose on that that it actually enchanced the look of the car.

I don't disagree but it's still a beaut. Hopefully the cars this coming season will look nice.

I want refueling back too, freshens up qualifying and impacts strategies, allowing teams with slower cars to punch above their weight.

Yes?

I think the idea is that there has to be a caution every 20 minutes at most so they can fit in some adverts.

I think it means as soon as the race starts the clocks counts down to 0 then there is caution unless there is a crash which resets the clock :dread:

I found this on it still confusing as strawberry float imo :fp:
As outlined by NASCAR executive Steve O’Donnell, a “caution clock” will count down from 20:00 as teams take the green flag to start each race. If a caution doesn’t occur naturally by 00:00 on the clock, NASCAR will display the yellow caution flag and teams will pit as they always have. The clock will be reset to 20:00 when the race begins, and again count down to 00:00 -- barring another “natural” caution. The 20-minute intervals will continue with every restart until the race “window” is clearly inside 20 minutes.

Monza to dump Curva Grande for a new chicane this has to be one of the dumbest ideas in Motorsport in recent times. :fp:

Image

Gianlu D'Alessandro ‏@Gianludale27
New layout for Monza. Probably there will be a new chicane (yellow line) with an elevation change of 2,5m #Gazzetta

It seems Vettel has already tried the new chicane (maybe at the simulator? ): according to him would be very difficult to get the right trajectory (for the elevation change of 2,5m), but his impressions of the new chinace would be very positive #Vettel [#Monza

Whiting would have already approved the new chicane (also for LMP1 cars). Ecclestone, instead, wouldn't like the layout change | #Monza

Opinion's?

What a pointless idea not needed it will ruin Monza IMO its a shame Silverstone's layout is crap so is Spa doing this to Monza will be a big nail in the coffin for F1 a change to classic venue which is not needed :dread: :dread: :fp:

Absolutely ridiculous, the cars hairing round that last bend on the end of the track and then flying down the straight flat out is a hallmark of the brilliant Monza track.

That's the Parabollica (sp) this is the long right hander after the first chicane.
