Least Donegal played football this year, the previous years they where DIRE, like the Stoke City of the GAA championship!

The Laois Carlow match deserved a bit more coverage than what it got tonight. I realise it was a small match in the grand scheme of things but it really was just lip service.

Sam is Dublins, were the favourites I know but we should be, our second team is better than most first teams!

Does anyone like Clare now that Davy is in charge?
Always good to see him lose.

It's cork, I want any team to beat cork.
Last friday, I got reported to my manager for wearing a Dublin Jersey in the office. A Cork lad (who has worn his cork jersey in some days) complained that it was showing a bias.
A bias - Wearing a Dublin Jersey, working for Dublin Airport, in Dublin. Manager laughed it off thankfully, and him a meath man!

Falling apart in the second half and almost throwing it away again.

That's Dublin airport staff for you. Biggest bunch of ego's I've ever worked for.

Well that was a poor weekend for Galway Gaa.
Full credit to the Dublin Hurlers and Anthony Daly though. They had a shite year last year but instead of giving up they came back stronger than ever and over the past three weeks have really shown they are capable of beating anyone. They were desperate for the win yesterday and really outfought Galway. I was listening to it on Radio 1 and while Tony Considine regularly berated Galway for giving away possession cheaply I think you just have to credit the Dublin lads for making sure they won the ball so often. It's the best Hurling championship in years though and the weekend had two great matches with Kilkenny-Tipperary being great to watch.
As for Galway footballers.
When they come up against someone decent those boys will get torn a new arsehole.

Just like Meath will in the Leinster Final next Sunday.
I'm stunned that Dublin won that hurling final, seriously, I didnt think we had a hope. Amazing.

Nothing better than Dublin winning 2 provincial finals and Cork losing 2!

Great win for Monaghan yesterday even if the match was poor enough.
Galway beating Armagh was a massive shock even though they were the home side.

How are Donegal doing in the football this year? I've not heard anything specific about them, but a lot of people seem excited about retaining the AI.

The thread title is a reference to them. They lost to Monaghan in the Ulster final, but theyre still in the hunt, just have to go through the qualifiers.

Thank you. I don't keep up to date with gaelic, but Donegal means a lot to me. They better qualify!

That was some display by Cork, nothing was gonna get past Nash. This has been a great hurling championship so far, long may it continue.
