Explain why you think Kerry could beat Dublin?

Here's why I think they can't:

-I meant what I said about Dublin's 2nd team, we have by far the best bench in GAA.

-Haven't been beaten in over 20 games.

-Have won the All Ireland 3 times in the past 5 years,

-Beat Kerry in last years final soundly, and again in League Final a couple of months ago.

-Won the National League for the last 4 years back to back.

-Won 10 of the last 11 Leinster Championships.

Have I missed something? Apart from 2014, its been 6 years since Kerry last won the All Ireland, the same amount of time since they won the National League. Please let me know what I've missed that make Kerry favorites to beat Dublin?

That is a fine set of achievements by the Dublin team, cant take away from that at all. However your contention was that Dublins 2nd team could beat a Kerry team consisting of Colm Cooper, David Moran, Brian O Sullivan and a whole range of players who wouldnt look out of place in an all star discussion. Any team losing even a handful its starting lineup would be hard pushed to beat any other inter country team, never mind their closest rivals.

The Gooch is past it, I'll take the point then about 2nd team but originally I said Tyrone are only team near us and you posted the Kerry crest... Based on what?

Based on them being the team who has consistently been involved in championship run in for the past decade or more. Theyre always in the mix come crunch time, theyve shown time and time again that they can get the job done and are always challenging for Sam. Why are you ruling them out?

I made a lengthy post on why I ruled them out against Dublin, they only get far in run for Sam for winning the Munster Championship, as we've seen, is a piece of pish to win (as is the leinster but Dublin have won the league 4 years in a row etc).

Scored 2 tickets for the Dublin Kerry match. One of the perks of having a wife working in Supervalu.

Great game, shows that football can still be exciting and entertaining when played by 2 teams that go out there with the right attitude. Congrats to the Dubs, handled everything thrown their way, deserved winners.

Now, hon Mayo!

That's 4 times IN A ROW we've beaten Kerry! (told ya) :datass:

Major shock for Mayo to win it but strange things can happen, like the 2 goals yesterday!

2 days to go to the final and Dublin is buzzing, flags are up all around and even my little one got to wear her Dublin jersey into school this morning, all the teachers were also in Dubs jerseys! :datass:

I reckon a 6-8pt win is on the cards but if Dublin have another brain freeze Mayo could win for the first time in 65years! We're clearly the better team and I think Kerry was a sterner test, roll on Sunday!

Why the strawberry float are final replays still a thing in 2016? What anti-climactic bullshit.

It was a great game, though.

Dublin aren't going to play that badly again. I know Dublin were the favorites and all but at the end of the day it was a DRAW, the way RTE wanked over Mayo was ridiculous.

Also, yes, Mayo scored 2 Own Goals but they came from brilliant Dublin play, they way the commentators were talking, you'd swear Mayo simply threw the ball into their own net for no apparent reason.

Had a fiver on the draw 8-) Unfortunately Dublin will hammer them in the replay.

Paddy Power are refunding all outright bets on the game as well, they do know how to generate some good PR.
