He's still playing for his club, to be fair he hasn't been the player he was in last couple of years cos of injury. Amazing talent though, nice enough guy too.
Dublin to hammer Kerry in Division 1 Final on Sunday. We are so much better than everyone else at the moment it's laughable. I can see a time when the hurlers join them in a few years.
Based on what? They've gone back a lot since they won that Leinster title. Cunningham's been pure shite for them.
It's sad to see Gooch retire but it was a privilege to watch him play the game. A player you can call one of the best of all time and not have to listen to some ould lad pipe saying you should have seen so and so.

Despite recent failings its been getting bigger and bigger in Dublin, certainly over the past 4-5years and they are as far behind the top teams as the Dublin football were 5-6 years ago. I just see the difference in investment plus the bigger fanbase, add in that Leinster Hurling is the cream of the crop in terms of competition and there are ingredients for success.
I'm struggling to find the words to describe just how bad this Galway-Kildare festival of puke football is. I think watching Ray Darcy interview Ryan Tubridy would be more entertaining.
Galway won, so that's also good news. Second half was much better than the first half. At half time the two teams must have seen the Dublin and Kerry lads walking in and remembered they were there to play football.
Borderline terrifying going on Twitter during the match and seeing people say it was a good game. They were always from Ulster.
I don't know what to make of yesterday's match. Were Galway legitimately awesome or were Tipperary just shite on the day? Even watching the highlights again last night I was still expecting a Tipperary response right up until they showed Jason Flynns second goal but it never came. There was some talk about Tipperary holding back to avoid showing their true colours too soon but that doesn't make a lick of sense. They have better players than Cork so they should win and it's not like they are working on some masters to beat Galway that they have to hide until August or September. Like the football final it did make the championship look a lot more interesting afterwards.
Cyril Farrell was some laugh on RTE last night though.
"Now Michael, the management are very calm lads and will be keeping the players grounded but WE WERE FECKING AMAZING AND THIS SUMMER WE ARE GOING TO BEAT TIPPERARY, KILKENNY, CLARE AND ALL THE OTHER NO HOPERS BY ABOUT 20 POINTS. But we won't lose the run of ourselves as Dublin in the Leinster Championship will be a very hard game."
Today's the day, the entire Country will be on Mayo's side (more than usual).
3 in a row is the dream for us. Mayo have improved but so have Dublin, I think we'll win by 8pts but if we have an off day, I'm happy for Mayo to break the curse.
My little girl is really excited to see Sam coming to her school again, she only started school 3 years ago so thinks seeing Sam and a few Dublin players is normal.
