I posted this gooseberry fool quality photo in another thread about musical instruments so here it is again in all it's blurry glory.

Image

Those two guitars are my favourite instruments ('73 Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty and a Yamaha Compass CPX-8M electro-acoustic) but I have three others that I use depending on what tone I want (Washburn DC-10, Yamaha Pacifica and a Fender Jaguar being my most recent purchase).

I have my eye on a really nice Martin 12 string at the moment but I'd also like to get a Tele at some point too.

This is the guitar I mainly use. It's a MIM Fender Strat, I have put a hot rails pick up in the bridge since this photo though.

I also use an OLPMM1F -Image

:o I've been looking at one of those for my next purchase! It's bloody gorgeous. Are they any good? How much do they cost?

Also, is there ANYBODY, anywhere, who dislikes line 6 amps? I've never seen the attraction myself, as they have been responsible for turning many level-headed perople I know into utter twats who can shred, but have no other musical talent whatsoever. (Obviously not intended to mean line 6 owners are twats, Just the ones that I know.)

I like them because they're incredibly flexible.

I'm not a fan of using Line 6 equipment, I just don't like the look/tones of their products.

ive heard people say the same for BOSS stuff, so i guess it just comes down to personal preference.

Next guitar I want is a JagStang 8-) Don't make 'em anymore though   Anyone here got one?

You could say that about pretty much every piece of equipment ever, though. I used to think that about Ibanez and Jackson guitars, for example. Unfortunately you will always find shred monkeys.

True, true.
I got an amazing deal last year, My dad went to a local shop, and asked for any cheap fixer-upper guitars he could get at a discount etc. He came home with a beautiful Brunswick acoustic. Apparently, they sell for around the £100 mark, but because there's a hole in the back (about the size of a 20p coin), he got it for £15 8-)

It's probably not even that good, but because it was such a good deal, its basically all I play nowadays.

Its a shame almost all of their songs are either 7-string or tuned down (its too fiddly de-tuning it, takes hours etc), but I can settle for being able to play Metropolis/Glass Moon.

They're going to be on Bruce Dickinson's radio show in a few weeks, to promote the new album.
EDIT: 19th June, on BBC 6 Music.

I know what you mean about de-tuning. Half of the stuff by King's X is dropped-D tuning, so I keep one of my guitars tuned to that.

Answer me something that's been bugging me for a bit - how do you pronounce Epiphone? Is it like it's spelled, or is it like Epiphany?(Epiphon-y, if you will)

Ah, awesome, I didn't know, cheers. I'm seeing them at Southampton Guildhall on the 13th June, I can't wait.

And yeah, it sucks, but I also have a non-trem ESP for that, which is awesome, just...not as awesome. :P

Also at home i have an Epiphone SG (my brothers, but he doesn't use it) however the innards are a bit broken, only one pickup works (dunno if it's the swicth, or the pickup) and the fretboard is looking a bit dry and old. May have a go at repaiting it over the summer, maybe put in some new pickups, i duno.

From what I have played of both, my Tele owns it

Lemon oil should sort out your fretboard issues. As far as the electronics go, have you opened it up and had a look yet?
