Happened again today, the batter was on about 60% just had a long call, but there was still loads of charge, it's refusing to charge until the battery dies out.

Dunno whether to take it back to 3 (it's around 18 months old) or just buy a new one (3GS prob) and hold out until the 5 comes out

If you have an Apple Store nearby then take it to them, rather than 3.

Heya,

Doing Secret Santa for work. Luckily got a friend of mine.

Is always on holidays and stuff, goes for weeks here and there.

Usually:
Goes to Sunny Islands/Place in Europe/North Africa
Gets Villa for her family for a week or so
City Breaks

Spends alot of time searching for best deals on flights and accomadation and stuff.

Her husband recently got her an iPad and she is loving it.
Are there any Application Programs that might be good for her?

Something that can help decide on/book places?
or something like a Multimedia HHGTTG, where when she is in Rome or whatever it goes "Youre just near to the Museum of Pasta" or "The hill to the North provides the best view of the city" with Pictures and etc
or something that allows a journal to be made, where you can add your own pics and vids and stuff.. an e-scrapbook!

any other ideas welcome

Looking for something in the £5-£10 mark.

Also, can you buy an app as a gift? and email it her on the day from my phone!

This is sorta what im looking for.. but anything better?

Probably a faulty battery. The apple store would run a diagonistic check and if that is the case, they'll replace your iphone with a brand new 3GS (or whatever your model is.) for £55 as it's a battery issue.

Tried using Siri to send text messages on Friday. Absolutely useless.

I think the speech recognition is fantastic. Not perfect, but far better than I expected.

With the Spotify App, do you have to be a premium user to stream over wifi? I always though premium subscriptions were for 3G streaming?

Might be worthwhile bluetoothing the contacts all in one go to your pc/mac and syncing it that way.

There's an option in settings to copy contacts from the sim card.
