Actually, my friend had exactly the same thing. She had to call them to transfer from old sim to new sim. They needed the code or something on the sim.

Flipboard is now available on iPhone and Touch http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/flipboar ... 01284?mt=8

It's basically like a glorified RSS reader that condenses stories into an easily readable format. The iPad app is one of the best apps available for the system.

Ok after my second full charge heres my usage stats, the battery is currently on 48%

Usage: 4 Hours, 26 Minutes
standby: 12 Hours, 2 Minutes

How does that sound? is that about right or does that indicate a battery problem?

Sounds about right. The battery on the 4S is terrible, and anyone saying otherwise is lying to themselves. My jailbroken 3G shat all over the battery life I'm getting out of mine. If it's 100% in the morning, after a day of mild music playback (about 40 minutes), light texting and internet it's down to less than 50% without fail. Playing Infinity Blade must zap the whole thing in just over an hour...

I...what...eh?

It's not unreasonable to want an upgraded version of an existing device (that cost me £500) to have a better battery than said predecessor. Or in indeed, it's predecessor's predecessor's predecessor. Which it doesn't.

So yeah. Spin on it.

My iPod appears to strawberry floated since I updated it a couple of days ago. Wouldn't sync from the backup, something about "home cannot be synced error-50" or something similar, only certain songs are playable on the iPod (they all show up, but greyed out, says there's 19gb on there as well). I tried deleting the backup, wiping the iPod and starting fresh but it's not fixed it.

Any ideas on what to do now? I'm pretty stumped. I'm going to try again tomorrow, see if I can force some life into it.

Battery life correlates directly to device size and drain - simple physics. That's just how batteries work. Greater efficiency can only do so much with existing tech, beyond a certain point you can only really make the battery bigger.

Me suck it? I'm not the one complaining from a starting point of unrealistic expectations.

Are they really unrealistic though?
The 4s has a bigger battery and is advertised as having superior battery performance in terms of talktime and audio playback. If Taf hasn't replaced the battery in his 3G it'd be reasonable to suggest that it has been through 500+ charge cycles and would be showing signs of degradation in performance on top of its weaker starting point. I don't think improved battery performance is an unrealistic expectation in those circumstances.

One thing that really sticks out when you check up something about an older iPhone is that Apple must be absolutely raking it in on the higher capacity models. Of the €200 they charge you to go from 16GB to 64GB how much of it is just profit at this stage?

Don't have an iPhone anymore, and they don't have their Android app out yet. I still have a look at my feed on my iPad, so I can still follow you if you want :)

I'm on a Sim Only Contract but would like an Iphone 3Gs. My contract is with T-Mobile but is it possible to get one which will work on any network because the point if me being on a Sim Only was so I could change whenever I wanted which I can't really do if I have to pay £200 every time for a new phone.

iTunes match is now available internationally. Have been going through the process for the last half an hour.
