Well I (finally) managed to get home sharing to work (one way) via ethernet, transfered everything to the imac after syncing phone/pad on the laptop and eveyrthing appears to be working fine.

Only too the entire afternoon :fp:

Haven't got time to read all the suggestions, but have you thought about just dragging to iTunes library from your MacBook into your iMac? Should work seamlessly.

Got a first generation iPod Nano that you bought between September 2005 and December 2006? Apple has decided to recall all of them for fear of it spontaneously combusting and apparently will replace them with a sixth generation iPod Nano. Why they haven't let bygones be bygones is a bit beyond me, but still.

OMG, I'm so frustrated with the battery draining so quickly on my iPhone. I don't know why my phone can't hold a charge. The laptop battery on my Mac seems to last forever, why can't the phone have same quality level? I'm sure I'll end up just having to replace the battery or get a new phone.

1. Find 1st gen on eBay
2. Send to Apple
3. Get 6th gen one for cheap

You know you can select which songs you want to put on your iphone?

Can you do the same for music video's?

it looks like you can set it to manual so i syncs nothing then you click and drag the items you want from the video library to the device and it then syncs it.

Check Brightness.
Check any apps you still have running, if its a lot just close them.

If your phone is still in warranty take it back to Apple and get a replacement. Sync your old phone first.

Yeah, you may have to wait quite a while to get the new one. Sent mine before Christmas, and I'm still waiting for the replacement. Rang Apple today and they said it could take upto 2 more weeks because of the sheer volume of replacements

Finally got my new iPod Nano via Apple. Nifty little piece of kit  Took a while to get it set up because everything was in Japanese. Had to go through each thing until I finally found the language settings.

Anyone see the iBooks2 and iTunes U announcements? Looks very interesting. There is a load of stuff on there now from open university.

Hey guys.

My Apple in-ear headphones are dying, so I need some new ones. As Apple's in-ear ones are now £65 despite being exactly the same as last years £55 pair (the decent in-ear headphones they did were only £35. I highly doubt the volume/skip buttons cost that much extra....), Apple can GTFO.

So I need reccommendations. With links where possible  Had some dick on the train two or three seats over wearing a pair of those over-ear Dr Dre ones, and I could hear every note of whatever he was listening to perfectly :| So I don't want any of those, as they're clearly rubbish.

I have those, got them for free when I worked at Apple. They're lovely. Wouldnt pay the RRP, but they are nice.
