With the imminent closure of the old GR forums after some 6 years and 19,568 registered users, the tie has come to recognise just one member.

Who receives this recognition is entirely down to you guys. I am asking you to PM me your votes for The Greatest Forumite Ever award. In 7 days time, I will count the votes, and the award shall be presented the next day.

With all this talk of what a strong community we are, it seems wrong to single out just one member.

No-one seemed to be doing them, so I just cut all the excess, and got straight down to the one that people really care about. This is a lifetime achievement award. Yes, we are a community, but it is a fact that some have put more into it than others have, and it is time for one of those people to be recognised and celebrated, as they so rightly should.

Well as far as I know... we're still doing them.
