I want to stay up so I can see Jean Dujardin win Best Actor, but I'm struggling to stay awake and I don't think I could put up with the bullshit before hand.

Did you see what Sacha Baron Cohen did?

Also, it's a shame Trent & Atticus didn't get another nomination this time around, TGWTDT had a great soundtrack.

I heard he got his ticket back, did he turn up dressed as a dictator?

Also, Hugo is a phenomenal looking film, it deserved both of those Oscars IMO. :shifty:

Didn't he spill Kim Jong Il's ashes all over Ryan Seacrest?

Montages like this are just pointless. We're watching the Oscar's, yeah, we know all about these movies already. We don't need to be told how great movies are...

Yep, clutching what was said to be the ashes of Kim Jong Il. He then spilled said ashes over one of the presenters.

 Legend!

Anyway, really hoping Scorsese gets best director, even if he's not technically the best of the lot - I love Hugo.

I forgot the voiceovers during these "technical" categories is always really pretentious...

And Billy Crystal is a really safe, quite dull, choice as host. The problem with the hosting is that it is too planned and perfect. The jokes are always really flat.

Saying that, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin were quite good.

All these montages praising the art of film are having an adverse affect on me.

Doesn't the Sky show usually have Claudia Winkleman and that Scottish movie critic on it?
