:( What a dick. Do you know these people? You could always ask?

Well, I moved out of the parents place on Friday. I've basically swapped Bryn for 2 stupid crap cats. I miss my dog

I'm trying not to think about it too much as I love those dogs so much, to think they could be in a gooseberry fool abusive home when we'd said all along we'd have them.

Surely you can chase it up somehow. Gotta be worth a try.

Gotta give you my sympathy though. I'd be devastated if that happened to me.

Cheers. No he won't even tell me where my mum's ashes are now or what she wanted some with them (she never told me) and has cut off all contact so I won't be getting any details out of him.

On a better note, we've decided that we're definitely getting two dogs in November, either two springer spaniels or two Labradors.

Last night my cat didn't come home. I went looking for him this morning and found a poster saying a fluffy Ginger and white cat had been found outside their house last night and had been run over.

The GF and I went over there and sure enough my Cat (Raymond) was in a bin bag in their back garden.

I buried him earlier today in a friends field. He was 3 years old next week.

I am 36 and absolutely devastated. I'm not sure why I'm posting this if I am honest. But I guess I don't feel I can talk to any of my friends about it.

I'm currently sat in my garden drinking a large Gin and tonic, and keep expecting him to jump over the fence. strawberry floating pets! I don't think I'm ever going to have a pet again after this.

Sad to hear that Albear, I was equally upset when my cat died.

Oh Albear, I'm so sorry. :( He looked gorgeous.

I'm almost 30 and whenever we lose a rat (we currently have 7!) I just go to pieces. When we lost our first a few years back it felt like I had been ripped in two. Was numb for a week.

I'm so paranoid about pets - there's a kitten that hangs around near our house and it was stalking pigeons on the road the other day, which really wigged me out.

So sad to hear that but you should not let that put you off. Everyone and everything dies eventually but we don't let that stop us growing attached to others, right? I know how hard it when a pet dies as I have lost maybe ten or so counting the ones in childhood and its worse when they are so young; however I would never let that stop me getting new pets.

I recently had a dream about a cat I had lost a few years ago. I picked her up and stroked and it felt completely real; then I woke up and realised that she was long gone. :(

This happens to me all the time. I dream about the cats I've lost on nearly a weekly basis, but in a way it feels comforting, because while they appear in my dreams like they do I know I can never forget them. I picture them perfectly in my dreams and they act exactly like they used to. It's like they never left and like my brain is trying to make sure I never forget how much I loved them.

EDIT: Great, now some strawberry floater is cutting onions at 12:30AM. ;_;

I'm really sorry about your cat Albear. :(

3 is no age to go but I can tell he was really loved while he was with you.

Sorry to hear that Albear.

Speaking of cats, the young one from across the road keeps trying to come in our house and tonight the strawberry floater was in our kitchen because we had the back door open due to the heat.

We just keep getting them shitting in our garden. When I've caught them at it, I've...

...hoping that'll scare them off, but it's not working. I've also started putting all my used lemon peel out in the garden as I've heard that keeps them out. It's keeping them off the border, but not at the far end of the lawn.

Does my head in. I think the owners would kick off soon enough if my dog shat in their garden.

I've seen in pet shops some kind of powdered lion dung that is supposed to do the trick. Never tried it myself, but can confirm an air rifle definitely works.

What sort of size air rifle would you recommend? I don't know much about them. I don't want to kill them, obviously, but perhaps a mortal wounding of some sort?

Nala damn near scaled our six-foot fence chasing a cat last week. I have no doubt that she'd come off worst if she ever caught up to one (as per the cat attack from earlier in the thread).

I'd start with a pistol. You can then patrol the garden and do a quick draw if you see a cat. You can then use your dog to finish it off. When you are comfortable with this, invest in a few air rifles and enjoy a little cat shooting sport when you have friends over.
