I think they've definitely jacked up the prices to give the impression of a great deal, when in actuality the discount price is the 'proper' price. If there are some nutters paying the full price, then that's a bonus (why though I don't know, because there's a £10-off code in every paper menu).

The one near me is always dishing out 50% off vouchers. I'm not sure if they all do that or it was because it's in a student area, but we literally could phone up to order some pizzas and just tell them we have a 50% off voucher (even if we didn't) and we'd get it all for half price. The guy who delivers it never asked to check for a voucher and we got away with this at least five times.
