Started Until Dawn.

I was enjoying it until my heavily pregnant girlfriend was worried about jumping out her skin at some of the jump scares. Had to turn it off :(

Played Until Dawn for nearly 2 hours, Christ is it slow. Aside from the tutorial/intro I'm yet to see anyone die :|

UD is brilliant, but my God my decision making clearly isn't, they are dropping like flies. At this rate I'm going to be lucky if any of them survive the night.

That's half the fun.
It is possible to save everyone but where's the fun in that?

It has to build suspense, I think if the "action" started too soon it would distract from the game, in my opinion.

There's a trophy for "finishing" it with no survivors though :shifty:

I think I maybe getting that trophie!
This really is excellent, I'm getting more and more intrigued by the story, I figured out one of the twists and the other half got another, but I think there's more to come.

The story does go off in a complete tangent that I don't think it's possible to see coming, but it's perfectly B-movie as well

What twists have you figured out so far?

I agree... it's a tough one to start and is really sluggish after the prologue but it soon picks up.

Who the clown is and that the other masked guy isn't a bad guy, well, I don't think he is, he tried to protect Em when he could have easily killed her.

As I said though, I think the time is well spent building tension, if you got straight down to it, I think it would lose some impact.

Until Dawn builds that way because it needs to give you time to get involved and invested in the characters. So when one of its main gimmicks is the bumping off of said cast, you actually give a little bit of a gooseberry fool.
My run through? 2 characters died. One was right near the end (as in, 5 minutes) because I couldn't hold the joypad still enough. Wounded!

I totally get that the slow build up is required to build tension and help invest in the characters but for someone with limited game time per week it's a bit of a chore.

I can definitely see the appeal though, I've gone back to it a few times over the weekend and managed to progress the story right up to where the slutty/sexy one gets grabbed out of the cabin.

Played maybe 4 hours of until dawn friday night with friends, the illusion of choice is fleeting.

Spent the whole time hoping someone was going to die soon. They never did. Too good at the game, obviously!
