Actually scratch that, if it's dropped this quickly then it'll drop a lot more. So I'll pick it up when it hits £15

Eurogamer called it
a grossly unremarkable open world racer that marks another step back for the series...It is, in so many ways, an indistinguishable smear of a video game....But it's hard getting angry at Need for Speed Payback when instead a more fitting reaction seems to be one of complete apathy. I feel for developer Ghost Games, and after its promising debut with 2013's Rivals this clearly talented studio's spirit seems to have been crushed by the sheer weight of Need for Speed and the corporate burden it carries. In its hands the series has gone from accomplished to flawed to this, a joyless obligation of a game.

Does that help?

There are some great discounts. Are you looking to grab one of them, Buff?

Ugh, several. Some are repeats of previous sales, but Horizon: ZD at 25 wraps, Uncharted 4 for £18, GTAV for £22.
A slight shame that there aren’t digital games in there as well - Sonic Mania for about a tenner would have been snapped right up.

If funds are tight right now then I would hold off buying some of the things you want, because I bet some of these will go up in the end of/new year sale at an even cheaper price.

 . Yeah, I’d read Eurogamer’s review and a number of others; it’s fair to say that they’re not exactly complimentary. But... I’ve also checked out at a couple of vids on YouTube which have looked at the reviews and taken into account the progression changes that have been made in the game. BlackPanthaa is a NFS fan and his take is interesting:

...but, then again, Jim is still pretty mad about it.

I can’t see some good points on both sides of the argument although, personally, I can see more common ground with Sterling’s viewpoint.

Anyhow, NFS... not as bad as it was at launch and I may pick it up.

His youtube channel logo is a vinyl decal you can put on your car in nfs2015 and there's an event with his name on it. To me that screams "corporate sock-puppet" but the choice is yours.

I was only jesting, dude - I haven’t played it but, yes, by most accounts Knack II is a solid if unspectacular platformer.
Just wondering whether you'd played it (as I know you like gooseberry fool games). Seriously, I think Knack gets a lot of unfair flack, I found it good fun so if Knack 2 is more of the same, I'm for that. Think I will clear my small backlog first though to allow the price to fall further.

£15.99 on John Lewis today if you want a physical copy for that trade in down the road.

Anyone else picked up any of the new Playlink games they’ve released? Bought Knowledge is Power for the next time I get a few friends over. It’s not bad, but we’ve been playing an awful lot of Buzz recently and it still doesn’t quite feel as good as that did.

There’s very little choice, too. You can’t even chose a short game or a long game depending on how much time you’ve got, and you can’t chose to disable the weird “Power Plays” that you have to use every turn to slightly handicap another player. The game would last half as long if you could skip those bits :dread:

It’s good, but it’s not great. And there’s no subtitles for the idiot host fella.

Hmm. I am intrigued by them - especially the murder mystery one, as I reckon I could get the wife involved with that. I'd rather play a demo before I drop any cash on it though.

I'm hoping there'll be a few cheap vouchers in the Black Friday deals then I'll pick up Hidden Agenda. I really liked Until Dawn, so I'm expecting good things, but a few things I've read don't seem to think it's a good fit for Playlink.

I've just checked and EuroGamer is pretty non-complimentary :|

It's always the Wednesday before the first Tuesday of a month, so it'll be next Wednesday
