DML wrote:Sat did you do some research on where we could stay?

I've had another look and found there:
- A couple of B&Bs on Worthing seafront that are around £105 for the three nights (One room per person) (5-10 mins from Drum).
- There'a twin room hotel in Littlehampton for £180 (so £90 each) (about 15 mins from Drum). They also have a room with a double and two singles which would work out at £75 each if three shared. link
- Travelodge in Littlehampton is £124 for a room each (10 mins from Drum)
- A place in Hove has the following options: twin (£87 each), triple (£84), quad (£84). (It's 25mins from Drum, but close to Brighton) link
- This hotel in Worthing is only a couple of miles from Drum. They have 2 twin rooms available and each is £222 (so £111 each) link
- Another hotel in Worthing with a couple of twin rooms available at £113 per person link. I've actually stayed here before and it was horrible, however they themselves didn't actually have any rooms left. I payed them about £30 and ended up in some nearby house with bugs in the ceiling, a shower that didn't work, and couldn't sleep because of the seagulls. The proper hotel itself might be ok

If someone wants to share (twin not double :shifty: ) then I'd be up for that, not too fussed which place. Otherwise I'll probably go with one of the Worthing B&Bs.

Ok, I will look into these tomorrow. I want something booked this week, and no doubt me and PPM will have to share.

Well you know I get scared if I'm not sharing a room with someone...

I'm happy to go with whatever you guys deem most suitable. It's only actually about an hour from mine so I could just make the journey each day but I don't think I can be bothered with that.

You're not the boss of me. I do what I like.

...

Yeah, that's the thing. If it wasn't such an arse to get to I'd consider it. Plus I'll be up till the early hours each night taking all the tourneys down, can't be doing with driving that late.

Littlehampton Rustington seems the obvious choice, me and PPM can share a room with pullout bed for £124.00. Are you happy with this Sat? Is anyone else coming from afar?

I'll probably sort out my own accomo as always. I've also got a potential job change upcoming, which if it happens would rule me out - so I'll be avoiding sharing as I don't want to screw anybody over last minute.

I think we decided on that Littlehampton Rustingdon one. Just need to book it. Annoyingly having to book two rounds of accomodation at the moment.

Woot.

This is what the Rendezvous at the Marina offers. They haven't stated their blinds but usually its 25-30 mins.

Friday – 8:15pm
£40 Re-entry
30,000 starter stack
£1,500 GTD if 15+ runners from the start
Unlimited re-entry up until first break
£6 reg fee, half price reg for re-entry

Saturday – Super Stack Bounty Saturday – 8:15pm
£30 + £5 Bounty
75,000 starter stack
£1,000 GTD if 15+ runners from the start
Unlimited re-entry up until first break
£6 reg fee, half price reg for re-entry

Sunday – 8:15pm
£30 Re-entry
20,000 starter stack
£1,000 GTD if 15+ runners from the start
Unlimited re-entry up until first break
£6 reg fee, half price reg for re-entry

The Grosvenor offers the following:

Friday - 8:15pm
£25+5, one optional rebuy or add on for £15, 30 min blinds
7,500 starting stack

Saturday - 8:15pm
£20+£5+£5 bounty, one optional rebuy, 30 min blinds
10,000 starter stack

Sunday - 8:15pm
£15+£5 Turbo Freezeout, 15 min blinds
15,000 starter stack

Have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the Rendezvous schedule, it used to be much better and more varied. It's also really quite nice inside which made for a good evening and it's situated perfectly what with it being in the marina. The Grosvenor, whilst having a poor interior appears to have the better tournaments IMO, even though the prizepool for the Rendezvous has the potential to be bigger.

They all sound okay to me, i'm easy with whichever people prefer to play.
Maybe go to each casino once during the weekend?

Yeah I was thinking that. And one evening at mine with some games/crazy poker/OFC with a take away or whatever people want?

Got a Domino's, a KFC, an Indian, two Chinese, a pub and a Tesco Express all just down the road.

Yeah, I'm not too fussed with which ones we do to be honest. Would definitely like a home games night.

Had Redtooth regional finals at Portsmouth Grosvenor yesterday - 135 qualified from the Redtooth leagues. Winner gets fully funded trip to Vegas for a big tournament there, places 2-6 get £200 down to £30 and a ticket for the Coventry National finals where the winner, again, goes to Vegas fully funded. I ended up busting in 39th 66<AK preflop (Busted by some drunk weirdo who later got banned from future events for being drunk and abusive to the tournament manager). My mate, with the chip lead, had a 3-way all in with A8 on an A 10 6 board against 33 and KQ for the title and Vegas trip.. KQ then urned a J and doubled up. 33 busted third. My mate then ended up coming second. Horrific car trip home - he was absolutely gutted. Seriously brutal.
