Not sure why they moved it from the bank holiday weekend as you would assume more people being able to make it.

The Goliath is definitely something I'd be interested in planning for next year. I can't do this year as it falls on my birthday and with me being 30 the missus has organised a big thing for it. Next year though... Bring it on.

Hotel and travel booked for the Goliath getting married next year so not going abroad so I've set aside £500 to play poker for this and side events.

Played last night for the first time since 'Hot Streak Brighton'.

Went out in 17th, but was chipleader for a bit until my Aces got cracked by Jacks AIPF. That took me too just above average sending me on a rollercoaster ride of good calls, grinding and losing more smaller all ins (wnning only the smallest one) before a guy who was desperate tp play back at me because I'd been raising a lot chose a terrible spot against me with Queens, three bet me 10-6, I called, it went to a flop of 10-7-6. All in on the flop, brick brick. Maybe could have folded, but he'd been so desperate to play back at me, I guess I had him crushed the majority of the time. I was still 25% to win the hand I guess. Meh.

Yeah that's one thing that we can't control at the table when plays try play back and get lucky.

I ran bad last Friday running my KK into a turned trip Q's when i had opened pre UTG and some guy calls with like Q6 and it's a Q high flop he jams and I call.

So i ended up making a couple hundred at the cash table with KK flopped top set against a lower set for a lovely pot :)

Just missed out on FT last weekend and I'm off tonight to see what the Sunday tournament is like.

I did make some money on break though :)

So now we don't get any of the build, any of the hype, any of the episodes building the players stories. We just get a random final table dragged out of over a few days (the latter being by far the worst part of the Main Event Final Table which they have for some reason retained. Urgh.).

Yeah that's pretty radical change with the format hopefully the feedback will have them change it for the better.

Been running well with slots this money made just over £1k which has paid for Goliath 2 bullets, hotel and side event money :)

Hmm, interesting changes to the WSOP. Will we get any easy access to this coverage here in the UK I wonder?

The last few years it has aired live on ESPN in the UK (albeit on a short delay) so we should continue to receive that. They'll also hopefully continue live streams from the WSOP site too.

It just infuriates me that they drag it out over 3 days unnecessarily.

ElkY is absolutely crushing the One Drop event. It's the FT and he has more than 2nd and 3rd combined.

He's so entertaining. The beef with Full Flush is my favourite thing about his brand.
