It was bad enough when Labour decided to use a dodgy PC ticket pricing strategy a while back.

The Young Labour event next month is open to under-27s who "self define" as women, LGBT+, BAME or disabled.

You can self define as disabled?

I suppose you have to. The Tory DWP certainly won't declare you as such

For the purposes of admission to a minorities event, yeah? How else would it work? Doctor's note to be presented with your badge? :?

Just wondering how in this world of little or, as you seem to advocate, no taxation we are going to afford to pay for all the trivial little things like schools, hospitals, police and such like?

No thanks, Labour needs a new leader who is actually sane.

Presumably the counter argument is that people should "look" disabled and have obvious limps.

And that's a whole can of worms in of itself :dread:

Did anything ever happen with Labour and the whole 'charging people different ticket prices based on their skin colour' thing? I think it got reported to the equality commission, but I never heard anything else on it.

So what do you want lol, someone with Blair's shitty liberal politics but none of the stigma he got from enacting his shitty liberal politics?

Imperialism's an essential part of that political worldview though lol, just look at how Hilary Benn got cheered on whilst he advocated bombing the middle east. They're always going to be interventionists.

Just out of curiosity, i was wondering if anyone here has undertaken an actual tour of parliament?

I've done the tour twice now, and it is genuinely fascinating, you get to see Central Lobby, Westminster Hall, The House of Commons, House of Lords, The Robing Room, and a whole bunch of other places, i've even been able to stand at the PM's spot at the dispatch box in the commons which was seriously neat. Unfortunately, you can only do filming and photos in Westminster Hall & St Stephen's Hall, but even so, that still allows for some pretty neat shots and footage.

I highly recommend you try it if you've not yet had the chance to do so.

I went on one when I was a youth, was in my town young person's council as we were invited and taken round by our MP. Was a good day.

I sat in on a very boring House of Commons debate during an A-Level politics trip.
