Just got the TuneInRadio app for the iPhone, significantly better than RadioBOX. pretty much every world station you can think of, great interface and recording facility.

(The playing times listed in iTunes are wrong, btw.)

Are they available from other sources?

You can listen/download from the Absolute Radio website:
http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/podcasts ... y-Podcast/

I gave an iTunes link because they are all neatly listed together in iTunes. On the website, to get to earlier episodes you have to use the calendar to go back to previous months. The podcasts are not very regular, so you might find a few months without any. Make sure you keep going though. The relaxation episode is in November 2009.

Haters gonna hate but I do like Radio 1. Don't listen to it often mind. But I've always liked the Chris Moyles show as well as Scott Mills and Greg James. Can't stand Fearne Cotton though.

Used to listen to the radio quite a bit back when I was younger and never left my room. Would always listen to Lamacq Live on Monday nights. As well as Mary Ann Hobbs' "The Rock Show" and "Breezeblock" and Mike Davies' "The Lock Up". And John Peel's late night show.

For those with an iPhone/Touch, create a US iTunes account and download the NPR Music app. US radio stations put UK ones to shame.

Chris Moyles needs to die in a horrible painful manner.

Scott Mills and Greg James shows are great though

He (and the rest of the team) make me laugh. :shifty:

Not that I'm usually up that early to listen to it.

Haters gonna hate. Radio 1 has some good presenters, the only problem is most of the new ones lack (any kind of) personality.

I like Chris Moyles. I like how he almost doesnt play any music. The radio one play list is not great, and the Friday show 9-10 makes a good change . Scott Mills is good, he's better when Becky is there, and i think his show also misses Chappers. Zane Lowe is good too. I dont mind Fearne Cotton. But Greg James is a detestable banana split.

Strong words there.

Why's he so bad? I don't listen often but when I have done he's seemed pretty good and likeable.

I wouldn't go so far as to call him a detestable banana split. I would call him boring and bland. Now Nick Grimshaw, there is a detestable banana split.

On the face of it he is fairly boring and bland to the point of him being quite personable, but he makes a few too many underhanded smug patronising comments and passive aggresive insults, and that gives me the impression that at his core he is infact a quite vile and offensive human being. He seems like the type of person who would strawberry float you in the ass the moment your back is turned. But i suppose i could be wrong, ive never met the guy.

So, are there any good radio stations that play rock/metal? World wide. Don't care if the language is foreign.

Not sure if anyone knows (or cares) about this but Russell Brand has had a new radio show on Talksport since October. I can't believe i've only discovered this now as I was a massive fan of the 6music and Radio 2 shows.

Now I wouldn't be half as excited but Matt Morgan is back as the co-host. :o

Brilliant news and i'm delighted that they've resolved whatever problems they had towards the end of the last radio show.

Does Zane Lowe still play a good range of music? Haven't listened to his show in years but it used to be good.

Just because I like the variety of music they play. Constantly churning out the music of my youth and classics from all ages from the 60s onwards.

Radio 4 is all I will listen to. Too many overly happy presenters and gooseberry fool music on all the other stations

Bump - (Can someone move this to the Entertainment folder then please)

Does anyone know why Greg James took over from Scott Mills on radio 1? I thought Scott's show was doing well, and only expected him to move to the morning slot :(
