I wasn't too keen on episode 1 but loved episode 2. Felt like proper old Red Dwarf, Cat was brilliant.

Just watched Timeslides best quote is

Kryten: "Pub." Ah, yes: a meeting place where people attempt to achieve advanced states of mental incompetence by the repeated consumption of fermented vegetable drinks. :slol: :slol:

Another sudden abrupt ending. Poor editing but an alright episode, not as good as the others so far this series

I'm not sure why that is. My initial thought is that they've written the episodes and not taken into account the ad-break time so have had to cut something.

I'd disagree about it not being as good. I'd say along with the 3rd episode it's been the best so far.

I really hope they don't encounter yet another drifting, derelict space craft. For being 3 Million years from Earth they seem to do nothing but bump into them. It just seems like a lazy way of introducing plot points and guest characters, especially as it's happened 3 times so far this season.

To be fair that happened a lot in the older series as well.
Either a derelict, or a planet, or they found something that had been laying around on Red Dwarf for the last few million years.

It became more frequent as the seasons went on, yeah. Presumably as it makes it easier to introduce new plot points. But 3 episodes in a row?
