It's an upscaled PS2 game, getting it to run at 1080/60 is hardly an achievement.

Its not upscaled at all, the original was sub 480p, this is the PC HD port, looks VASTLY superior to GameCube and PS2, you know it debuted on GameCube right or is your bias neglecting it?

I think it's aged badly too and I own the PC 'Ultimate' edition. Need to get round to trying it out with the modded RE4 HD textures which I think is still Village area only at the moment.

Resident Evil 4 on the ps4 is fantastic. It takes a while to get used to the controls again but once you do it's sublime. I've played 5 recently and while it's prettier and it's had some controls improved, 4 is still light years ahead.

The first few hours right up to the meeting with the merchant are perfectly paced and the upgrade system and treasures are brilliant.

The Wii version has better controls for very easy headshots. But the game is faultless. Plus mercenaries is a game in itself.

Wish my image sig would work

I didn't mean to hate on RE4, but only to point out that even the modded pc textures don't make the game look as good today as its GameCube predecessors do.

Still a cracking game though.

 Wait, are you sure? Re-Remake and re0 supremacy?

Those two are definitely the pinnacle of the series and, while re7 is my most anticipated title, I can't wait to see what capcom are doing with the proposed re2 remake - pre-rendered backgrounds using today's tech? It should simply be THE BEST LOOKING GAME EVER.

Yes. Although Zero suffered from that control method (which I had no issues with) it just didn't have that same sense of dread. Always ended up too much ammo, and the enemies, especially the insects where dull. That said. I still love it. Probably my 3rd favourite, after Remake and Nemesis.

Only going to rate the ones I've actually beaten.
4>Remake>2>3>1>5
I don't actually consider any of these to be bad games.

I said in my post that I didn't list either of the chapter based games - Revelations or Revelations 2 - because I haven't finished them.

Revelations 1 is the best Resi since 4.

I felt that there was something really lacking in Revelations. Didn't like the feel of the game, or the situations it puts you in (the deformed captain boss battle was really irritating to me).

Then again, I was really bad at it admittedly.
