The format wars these days just don't have well rounded and thought provoking arguments that were made back then.

And the Amstrad cpc6128 was better than both :datass:

Never played on any of them, only console maker I would go ooo for would be Sega but it would be a pointless box for playing bad Sonic games so really probably better they all stay as they are.

Magnavox/Videopac supremacy! Who can forget such classic knock-off games as Pick Axe Pete (Manic Miner), Munchkin (PAC-MAN), Space Monster (Space Invaders), Quest for the Rings (D&D/LotR) and Gunfighter (no idea).

Space Monster and Gunfighter were actually pretty great. 2 player Gunfighter especially so.

Watched a couple of videos this morning on the Sega 32X and the history of the Megadrive vs SNES period and it's such a shame that Sega left the hardware arena. They were just as creative and mental as Nintendo are now, their marketing was hilarious and the products were all flawed gems that left their mark on the history of the medium.

I'd buy a new Sega console in a heartbeat. I have so much nostalgia for their systems, gets me right in the feels :(

I'd also buy a Dreamcast 2 as I have fond memories of Saga's last console.
Sega own the developers of Total War so could make the console mouse and keyboard compatible and make a decent console version of the Total War series that isn't watered down.

I'm the same, man. Whisper it, but I'm probably more of a Sega fan than a Nintendo one. I chose the MS over the NES and the MD over the SNES :shifty: .
