I'd use pro straight away. For Keyboards regular mode is actually harder.

You should find easy and medium settings for Pro Keys quite easy. Hard is where it gets tricky.

I secretly hoped this topic bump was an out-of-the-blue Rock Band 4 announcement :(

I think it's dead now that neither Microsoft and Sony are carrying across downloads :(

I've picked up a handful of stuff lately that I didn't realise was even out as DLC. Some of it way back in the RB2 days

I think that Rock Band Blitz is price reduced on Xbox too this week if anyone hasn't got that yet.

It was 73% off, but I got it at the time for the DLC songs.

Rock Band was a moment in time, and I'm really sorry that it seems to have passed. Really, I think it's the best and one of the most innovative game series I've ever played.

I agree. But that's partly why I decided to look for the keyboard - now I've got a pretty comprehensive set of Rock Band Stuff. The Beatles massive box - with guitar, drums and microphone - and the additional John Lennon guitar (which I think I paid RRP for on release :dread: ) Plus Rock Bands 1, 2, 3, Lego, Song Pack 1, and Song Pack 2. (All for Wii.)

I reckon it might be worth something someday, that lot - especially as I still have all the boxes for everything and they're all in great condition. Not that I think I'd ever part with it all, that is.

Courier attempted delivery today while I was at work. Phoned him earlier, he's going to bring it round tomorrow morning. Going to get some guitar play in before I get the keyboard :datass:

I'm sorry to hear that :( Was going to suggest we could get the band back together for some multiplayer games, but I don't think anyone else has it on the Wii.

In related Rock Band news, I've moved my pro kit over to my Northampton house and bought a new set of cymbals. It's going to take me months to get it set up back how I like it. Everything's far too cramped at the moment :fp:

I'm not - the Wii must have gotten thousands of hours of multiplayer use out of the various MP games I've got for it (plus GC and VC MP titles). So getting the Rock Band games for the same console was an absolute no-brainer for me. Yes it looks worse, and yes it doesn't have proper online play, but I don't mind either of those.

I think the Wii/WiiU is the only next gen console to support previous DLC right? Ironically

Microsoft and Sony :x :x :x

Survey does not recognise 'Nintendo Wii' as a valid answer for the question "Which format did you spend most time playing Rock Band on?"

Rock Band 4 is only feasible if they can sort out a way to transfer content to new consoles. Maybe employ a similar system to Dance Central: Spotlight, where new versions of old tracks are available over time at no cost to those who've already purchased them. And the old instruments need to work. I have faith in Harmonix to pull that off.

I admire your optimism, however seeing as all previous racing wheels, arcade sticks and every other peripheral have been locked out of the new generation, expect some bullshit spin about "enhanced/improved input controls" or some gooseberry fool which totally justifies making you buy it all over again.
