Having read the tracklist in full I have now been put off buying the game as I don't want 'Moves like Jagger' on my Rock Band 3 random list, I would have tolerated the Barenaked Ladies but that is a step too far.

I'm still very wary of Blitz. A demo has been confirmed, so I'll definitely be trying that, but having 2 lanes only seems like a baffling decision to me.

Damn. Game isn't cheap at the moment either.

Lego Rock Band on the other is going for a tenner.

Rock Band 3 is on the Games on Demand service for £15 if that is any good to you.

So it is. If I bought that would I have any problems exporting? Is there a code on the manual you need or anything like that?

I meant exporting the RB2 songs to the HDD. Seems like you need to code from the RB2 manual.

And as far as I know there isn't a way to get the RB3 songs into Blitz.

If you go into the menus in Rock Band 3 there is an option to export Rock Band 2 tracks into it using the code in the manual (and paying 800 points of course) so it should work though the Games on Demand version. I don't think the Rock Band 3 tracks are playable through Blitz as you said.

damn I just spent ages trying to find the old posts with that information

Thanks Frank

There is information on exporting on the first page as there seems to be some confusion as to what you are trying to export. If you want to play the RB2 songs in Blitz then you just need the manual code from the RB2 manual if you still have it. If you have lost the manual or never had it, then give EA an email with the information Frank posted.

At the moment you need to enter that manual code into RB3 in game music store (I imagine Blitz will have a similar thing if you don't want to buy RB3 as well) Entering the RB2 manual code into the standard Xbox code entry area will give you the 20 free song pack instead (if that is still running)

So how does this work exactly? Do I need to re-export all my library or does the game find it automatically.... I might get some points just for this.

You don't need to do anything. It's Rock Band, so any DLC or disc exports you've paid for previously work straight away at no extra cost. Blitz will scan all of your Rock Band directories at the beginning for any songs on your hard drive.

The 25 songs included with Blitz are also playable for free in Rock Band 3 once you buy Blitz (Guitar/Bass/Drums/Pro Drums/Keys/Pro Keys/Vocals/Harmonies)

Agreed - cannot get more then 4 stars currently, but it's tempting me to pick the full game up, especially with all the DLC I have already
