Well this is rather good. I need to get the calibration set up. I did the wizard and it ended up worse for some reason. Enjoying it though.

Going to take some time to get used to track switching, there's quite a lot to keep track of.

Not overkeen. It all seems a little messy and unintuitive. Keep switching lanes when I should be pressing notes. I'll stick with it and see if things improve. It was worth it for the 25 songs anyway, so I'm not too fussed.

Pro-Guitar/Bass Upgrades for Select Rock Band Blitz Songs Coming?
Rock Band Aide wrote:Image

It seems like this question has been asked multiple times, and it seems like each and every time Harmonix shoots the idea down… at least at launch. This is an example of what @HMXHenry has said addressing it:

"There won’t be any Pro guitar upgrades available at launch but we’ve discussed the possibility of releasing a few as DLC at a later date. You can keep posted to future DLC announcements for more info."

But now that the Rock Band Blitz songs are live over on RockBand.com, it appears that there may be evidence that several tracks may see Pro-Guitar/Bass upgrades.

As you can see from the image we captured above, it appears that there are some Rock Band Blitz tracks with the Pro-Guitar/Bass upgrade icon. You can verify this yourself over at RockBand.com, if you want (for a brief time, I’m sure).

We went through all the Rock Band Blitz songs, and noticed the following track with Pro-Guitar/Bass icons on RockBand.com:

  • Iron Maiden – Wicker Man
  • Kool & the Gang – Jungle Boogie
  • Living Colour – Cult of Personality
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers – Give It Away
  • Rick Springfield – Jessie’s Girl
  • Soundgarden – Spoonman

Take this with a grain of salt however, as we have seen Pro-Guitar/Bass upgrade icons on songs over at RockBand.com before, however many rumored tracks ultimately ended up having never received Pro upgrades. In fact, this may very well be an error, as the individual pages for these songs clearly list “No Part” for the Pro Guitar and Pro Bass sections.

Tried out trial and I like it. While I do love RockBand 3 and will still play it off and on, it's nice to have something that plays differently to get high score just for good laughs, and this nails that perfectly for me.

Bought :D

Just tried the Xbox 360 trial whilst I wait for PSN to get a move on and I loved it. Quite challenging too, only managed to get about 4.5 stars on each of the demo songs.

With over 700 songs waiting on PS3, I think I'm gonna be there all night.

Tried the trial

You need 24066 more points to beat RoughOutline's score.

this might be a bit too fiddly for me. I might get it becasue of the extra tracks though.

Still got it. 8-)

The game's better than I was expecting. It's taking a bit of getting used to and I'm usually getting four stars per song. Not too sure on most of the tracklist at the moment but Cult of Personality's pretty good.

Edit: Bido, you missed the best one.

This would be so good on the Vita. I know they had Rock Band Unplugged on the PSP, and it was very similar to RBB, but this game is such an improvement.

I like this. A lot.

How's everyone playing? I've just tried the 'Shoulder's button configuration and it seems about as close to comfortable as I'm going to get. Using the left stick to play a note just feels... wrong.

On 360, I'm using Dpad left and A with the triggers to change lanes.

Hmm. Didn't realise you had to spend coins to use the power-ups on every single song. I thought once you bought them they remained unlocked. That's pretty stupid. Also means that if you restart a song, you lose all the coins you spent on the power-ups for that attempt.

'Freaky' control system seems like the one for me now.
