Looking good! I'm not sure how captures work on xbox, but maybe the console doesn't distinguish between a photo capture and a video/audio capture? In which case Rock Band is being told "I am capturing" so it just has to blanket block everything.

The god damn free song is included I have Wolfmother Tenacious D isn't my thing though so I don't have that one.

Apparently you can't get demoted anymore so that should make things more relaxed, however I am not sure how not going down leagues is going to work

More fixes apparently. Go to your manage game section for Rock Band 4 and if you bought any of these songs previously then they should be available to download for free. They have all been removed from sale unfortunately so if you don't have these and haven't purchased them yet then I am afraid youre SoL

Yup all 3 are DLC this week (even if one is free). Maybe that's why they've implemented a no demotion rule

We are well in the promotion this week! I think what happens is it totals our team scores up as we go along, so if you do really well in previous weeks its not wasted and adds to future weeks as it's cumulative. At least that's how it appears how it will work. We will find out next week if we get a headstart again like we did this week.



6/22 DLC DISCUSSION: FUN SONGS!

Rock Band 4 is having tons of fun this week as tracks from Cyndi Lauper and Paramore join the platform.

“Girls Just Want To Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper hits the Music Store this week, joining the previous release, “Time After Time”. The debut single by Cyndi Lauper, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, quickly becoming a feminist anthem and an iconic ‘80s hit. When playing vocals, be ready for a challenge, as the song is deceptively hard. The octave range is impressively high, but without the use of any falsetto. The guitar plays the keyboard solo, which has several quick bursts of notes in it.

Coming from the Rock Band VR soundtrack, “Ain’t It Fun” by Paramore also releases this week. Winning Best Rock Song at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, it was the band’s first Grammy and the first female-fronted track to win Best Rock Song since 1999!. Critically hailed for its musical diversity, “Ain’t It Fun” became Paramore’s highest-charting single, ultimately reaching #10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The bassline is one of the strong suits of the song, being rated a bit tougher than the guitar or drums. Hayley Williams on her own is already a vocal powerhouse, but with a choir backing her up during this track, it goes above and beyond.

I'd rather they didn't do that gooseberry fool, just play the guitar part and have the keys as a background. Like they do with The Who or Deep Purple. Some of those songs in particular have nothing for the players to play at all while the song plays and the song is far more enjoyable for it. The worse songs are where they get you to play a whole host of instruments, one minute it's a guitar then nope you're on a saxophone, then over to a harp before your cowbell solo kicks in. It really makes listening out for your part of the song difficult.

Plus that keyboard solo looks strawberry floating horrendous based on what they shower on the livestream.

I really hate it when keys are charted to guitar! It's affected Hold The Line and Danger Zone for me. Not the way I play them in my head at all. strawberry floating keyboards. That was meant to be Guitar Hero's thing - and I hated them and their stupid charts for it!

I don't think Any Way You Want It ever exported from RB2 unfortunately and so is stuck in that game. I think it was around the time they hit big with High school Musical so probably demanded an obscene amount of cash for any of their music. Don't Stop Beleiving was also removed from sale probably for the same reason.

I think I tried to send buff an invite to GRcade but he still hadn't loaded RB4 up since he bought Rivals so he wasn't in the lost of people who could be invited. Buff whenever you load the game up next, search for GRcade and one of us can accept your request.
