I always make the mistake of quitting out of a song if I'm doing badly rather than just seeing it to the end and taking some XP.

Cora,

Restart the song if you know you can do better. I do it all the time haha!

I went on a gold medal streak last night on bass…. Got 4 in a row on four separate songs. Well happy with that…

Let me check our position now…..FUUUUUU :x :x :x

Got the 500 bass streak note achievement on the AC/DC song The Jack…. Dunno why but I do like that song!!

I think we will be okay. I am going to beat the scores on guitar bass where I can and put in a drum score that's missing. Then play for XP for an hour or so.

If we go down to gold then we go down to gold. We (tigasefi) can't keep up at this pace every week anyway :slol:

Anyone know of any reasons why my game freezes regularly and doesn't seem to be recording scores for certain songs? According to HMXOwl(cheeky strawberry floater) it's not a known issue so must only be affecting me.

I literally have no idea how he got a job at harmonix as a community person. He isn't a people person

I haven't really heard anything on freezing other than it being an Xbox 1 problem

Do the freezes always happen on songs that don't record scores? Do the songs record locally just not on the leaderboard? If so it could be an Internet thing, I don't think scores upload when offline (and I guess that might count if you're offline for only a second during a song idk)

No, Barracuda just froze horrendously halfway through and still recorded my XP and score. It's specific songs that are doing it - I've found More Than A Feeling, Behind Blue Eyes and Proud Mary so far.

This is going to be a massive ball ache but it's actually easier than it used to be... go to Xbox dash. Manage game. Find one of those songs and delete it (I'd recommend More Than A Feeling because I know it's still for sale and that means you can download it again)

Once deleted download it again, wait for the Xbox message to pop up that it's done and then load up RB4. Try the song again and see if it works this time

Looks like it worked? My phone just popped up that you scored on More Than A Feeling

Now this is going to be a bitch to find all of your affected songs :fp: I have another trick to try before you delete any other songs

Did I strawberry floating ever - the leaderboards have predictably congested quite heavily since the song went onto spotlight but it's 15th up from 43rd - overall our vocal scores are 4,788 from the combined world record for the three songs, don't think I can do much better given that I don't know the trick behind the end squeeze yet.

I'm not even going to make an attempt - I've figured out how to tell when one's affected during a weekly challenge(it doesn't flash up with the gold banner) so I'll just delete as and when it happens.

Ah okay that's one way

When you deleted that song and then downloaded it again it forced Rock Band to refresh the library for that particular song

Next time you're not playing in the console you could go to settings (I think it's under) and rescan your library. That'll re add all the music to your library again (warning it'll screw up your "recently downloaded" section as it'll reorder everything but all scores etc will remain)

That'll probably take a while to scan

Then try one of those songs you know doesn't work. If it still doesn't work then the only fix is to delete and download each one :(

Nice one for putting in some high scores though! I'll get online in a bit and put some time in too

I'm down for that but I might need to duck out early to go to bed :shifty: Can you stream Rock Band through Twitch using the built in app? I know you can't take screenshots or record video with the built-in dashboard share features which is an OUTRAGE (I get why they don't want people recording videos, but there's hardly going to be any copyright issues with screenshots, surely?)

I'll probably only play for a bit myself. I used to stream on twitch all of the time but the Xbox twitch app seems to be a bit hit and miss (sometimes it broadcasts with no sound/noise). Hopefully it still works so we can do a takeover of GRcade channel in the future :datass:

No surprises it's those three Lady Gaga songs this week...

WEEK OF 1/24 - LADY GAGA PACK 03!
This week, we’ve got another hit pack from Rock Band vet and everybody’s favorite Mother Monster, Lady Gaga! The multi-talented Lady Gaga has been a pop-culture force for over a decade with her chart-topping music, awe-inspiring concerts and award-winning acting.

“Lady Gaga Pack 03” opens with “Applause”. Taken from her third album, Artpop, “Applause” became her twelfth top-ten single on the Hot 100! By the end of its run, it was a triple platinum single in the United States. “Applause” is a perfect party song, and of course a challenge on vocals. Even solo, the chart requires you to jump around all three parts, testing your breathing control. The drum has snares that speed up going into the chorus, so you’ll have to pay attention to keep a combo going.

Continuing on, we have “A-YO”. This single from Lady Gaga’s latest album, Joanne, is infused with just a bit of country and funk, marking a unique direction in Lady Gaga’s sound. The guitar asks you to jump around the neck a lot, making it a lot of fun with how active it is. Vocally, it may surprise you, as some tricky jumps come at you. It’s a song worth practicing.

To give us a strong finish, we come to “The Edge of Glory”. Off her hit album Born This Way, it became her tenth CONSECUTIVE top-ten single on the Billboard charts. Frequently seen on “Best Songs of 2011” lists, it was also given accolades for Clarence Clemons’ (of E Street Band fame) guest saxophone solo. The guitar has the saxophone solo charted, and features a difficult HOPO section in the chorus. The drums have a partial disco bit, with extra hi-hats thrown in periodically. Even the bass has a strong showing in this track, giving everyone something fun to play while singing along.

The “Lady Gaga Pack 03” will be available for $5.49. Each track can be purchased individually for $1.99 each.
  • "Applause"
  • "A-YO"
  • "The Edge of Glory"

Only getting A-YO this week I think so hopefully that's the challenge DLC song if there is one... I wish all three songs were from the new album, it's so good
