I think we need to average about 43rd place :slol:

When I get on the Xbox tonight I'll check to see what kind of scores we need in that area of the leaderboard and see if it's actually possible.

Just had the arrival confirmation that the legacy adapter has turned up at my MyUS address! $30 to forward it to the UK. Expecting good things.

There doesn't seem to be any way to see a full leaderboard

I played about an hour and moved us 13 places on XP up to 115th now. If the XP is fairly gradual that's 6 more hours of XP to get to the promotion

I'll probably play an hour or two tonight if anyone else wants to do online play

Yeh as long as no one else has played on bass. If they have you only get the regular XP and a bonus for second play. Likewise you can play through on guitar again.

You can play them as many times as you like but the XP you can get from a certain instrument and song combo decreases each play (to stop people farming XP off the easy songs)

So you can play SONG A on GUITAR and get 1st play bonus. Then SONG B on GUITAR for 1st play bonus. THen SONG A on BASS for 1st play bonus. Meanwhile if I play SONG A on GUITAR I get 2nd play bonus because we are on the same team and you played it first

The bonuses are on top of the XP you get for playing (based on how many stars you score, the song difficulty, the song length). There's also a small bonus on top if you make it through the entire song and don't miss a note.

I played the Ministry song on guitar a few more times tonight and I'm still getting about 200xp per play on Hard 5 star score, even though it's probably my 6th or so playthrough now

Also Cora probably didn't get much XP at all for his spotlight plays today because I've played them three songs on vocals 3 or 4 times already :lol:

We've banked about 35k xp, I reckon another 10k would get us promoted, along with some drum scores for the spotlight songs on expert.

I'm heading home now, so I might be able to put some expert drum scores in at some point tonight. Are any of the spotlight tunes on the discs? I'm guessing some of them might be some of the obscure terrible free tracks with Rivals.

EDIT: Also, had a FedEx message about something that I can only assume is the Legacy Adapter being delivered by the 11th. That's flipping fast if it's true.

180 minutes divide by 4.5 minutes (average song length) = 40 songs played x 3 people = 120 songs

If we can earn an average of 200XP = 24,000XP

One is a Rivals free track, one is DLC from the RB2 era and the last one is DLC from this week.

I'll hopefully have expert scores on all 3 songs by around 8pm so we will have a better idea how we stand amongst the other teams. I might try and squeeze the guitar and bass scores some more before then.

It's probably going to end up being just outside the spotlight promotion zone and well out of the XP zone

Stigmata is literally the worst thing I've ever experienced on expert drums

We put in another 80,000 spotlight across the 3 songs. So it's going to be down to XP

Yeh they're just random accounts on my Xbox we use for co op games. I'll kick them out after this challenge!!

73rd for XP and 78th for spotlight which puts us in the top 19% of the league. I think it's about 10-15% for promotion.

I wish Harmonix would confirm one way or another if this peripheral I have is going to be supported now this adapter is available. I got one months ago I could have sold for £££ but I'm holding on to it because as soon as I sell it I just know Harmonix will patch in support :fp:
