Update this week!

twitter.com/RockBand/status/869683979384832000

Not sure if it includes new achievements, but I think the new missions/badges system will be an in game equivalent

Update adds new modes, new songs (I think), new items, fixes the stuttering issue some experience, new toggle option for vocal overdrive (see below), fixes the exploits people have been using in the weekly Rivals challenge (hopefully no one here used them or we are going to the bottom league!) and probably a bunch more things as I haven't seen the full patch notes.

Rock Band ARG
It's still on going, nobody has figured out what it all means yet, but you can catch up with all of the puzzles and maybe you can piece together what's at the end? Muse?

Shout to Deploy! (ARG Puzzle 5)

Season 1
HMXJosh wrote:June 15th is the start of Season 1. Season 0 is still ending on June 13th. This was always the plan, to give you some time post-release to have exploit-free competition in Rivals. :)

2 full weeks left of Season 0 so we can still reach Bloodstone (top league)

I know little about Rock Band and I haven't got a musical note in me... but I just popped in to say how cool your enthusiasm for the game is! Week after week, you guys are always playing!

You should check it out jawa!

Unfortunately RB4 hasn't made the jump to WiiU or Switch yet, but you can get the older versions on Wii.

If you like even a few of The Beatles tracks then I highly recommend picking up a copy of The Beatles (Wii/360/PS3) with a cheap Guitar controller - It's a standalone game outside of the other Rock Band titles and it takes you through the story of The Beatles.

And the great thing about Rock Band is that it's a very casual game that anyone can pick up and play - even without musical experience. It's more of a different way of experiencing music on your own or with friends than a traditional game.

The game is a few quid on 360/PS3/Wii and a second hand guitar controller won't be much more I should imagine. If you like it you could grab another guitar or a mic or a drum, or maybe even move on to RB4! (note the 360 controllers can be used on XB1 and the PS2 & PS3 controllers can be used on PS4)

Thanks, man, but I literally don't have a musical note in me and Hatsune Miku on easy level is my limit  . I just admired the enthusiasm that you and the other guys have for this... long may you play!

Jawa  I'm full of enthusiasm for Rock Band.

We definitely need a few more active members if we want to get back up and stay up, though :(

Most Rock Band players play on Easy setting, so I wouldn't let that put you off! Plus there are crutches like "no fail mode" and other instrument specific options to make it impossible to "die" during a song.

Hopefully can sign up a few active people from our current recruitment search. I think it's going to be a case of staying in this current league for this week, and then in the following (final) week push for a promotion to get back in that league we were in this week. That would secure us the fabled cat tshirt as well as the dinosaur one and the star variations below them.

I'm sure I've played that Blind Melon song before, though. Was it on one of the weird track pack discs they released in the RB2-era?

It's not in my library, and it appears it was on Guitar Hero 5. Eurgh.

June Features and Update Notes: http://www.harmonixmusic.com/blog/june- ... tch-notes/

They fixed the checking setlist bug by the looks of it. And also the stuttering.

In fact that's probably the best list of fixes since the game came out! Standardised audio levels across the 10 years of DLC is something I've wanted since way back in Rock Band 3.

Hopefully the score fixes and whatever glitches people have been using make this weeks Rivals Challenge easier for us.

Unless they're holding something back for E3 then this is bleak and the game is dying  at least we have all of our library on the current gen consoles now (or at least 99% if the last few don't get fixed by Microsoft and Sony)

Nothing in that DLC list for me unfortunately, but I'll take the free songs (looks like they're separate downloads and not baked in to this update like previous free songs)

June Update is 7.8GB (on Xbox)

I don't think anyone here are leaderboard chasers on Guitar, Bass, Drums... but just in case this is the full list of songs with changes in the latest update. It isn't confirmed, but usually this includes a leaderboard wipe for the affected songs (because the possible high score has changed), so if your in game scores don't match the leaderboards for specific song/instrument combos then the list below is a good place to start

Looking at the Rock Band app on my phone it looks a few of us have jumped up some levels now that the cap has been raised from 50 up to a possible 100... I dread to think how much XP is required to get to 100 :dread:

I'm up to level 57... 43 levels to go 8-)

Apparently it takes strawberry floating years to get to 100 this time.

Pull me Under was good on Guitar Hero so on rock band with proper charting it should be really good.

New lanes mean that the charting has changed?

Harmonix really could do with a major backer for this game though. Would make life easier for more DLC and more background work.

They've changed a few songs in patches since RB4 first launched. Most notable changes are to do with Keys/Guitar where they've altered some guitar sparse legacy songs and used the older keys chart.

These changes all seem to be trill/roll etc lanes (the bit where you alternative between two colours quickly - in RB3 they added those long coloured bars to make it easier by making the timing windows more forgiving like Guitar Hero, these changes add this feature to songs pre RB3 that missed them)
