I'll nab Applause so don't worry about that. Probably can't put a vocal score in for it though :slol:

Haven't listened to the other two so hopefully they're good

Ugh, I'll get practising. Lazaretto is pants, I actually went back to it the other day to beat the white whale that was BID0's world class score on vocals. I'll listen to the other one now while I have a bit of time and then smash out a score tonight. I'll grab Applause if I can spare the cash to put up vocal scores. Not a Gaga fan.

EDIT: Bethany has a top score, which is easily achievable. That won't be a problem. Only 7 people have posted vocals for Applause so far - pretty damning indictment of the DLC two days after release. It's not tough though, just one phrase I'll need to practice. The OD paths indicate that there's no end squeezing, which means I shouldn't be too far away from the WRs with any of them.

I've laid down some monumental scores for us on the vocal tracks this week. Joint 1st on Bethany, outright 1st on Applause(for now, that'll be handily beaten by Tuesday I assume) and joint 2nd on Lazaretto (5th on leaderboard).

This is my first outright 1st place I think, so I'm pretty hyped even if it is a Lady Gaga song that only came out on Tuesday.

Yeh only streamed for a bit! I couldn't find the grcade steaming topic to post in but here it is:

www.twitch.tv/videos/117530161

Sometimes the songs are copyrighted and get muted, it's usually 50/50 whether they'll be sound or not

We are 16th place for XP and 2nd for scores

If it comes to it I'll get the guitar out and lay down some scores for Applause later on in the week. We should *easily* be safe this week.

Rock Band 2 Export out now for PlayStation Europe Users
Sony brought it out yesterday, making their promise for January 2017 by the skin of their teeth. AC/DC is scheduled for February.
Click here for RB2 export download: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/ ... we-5-89521

The Online Multiplayer patch has been delayed in Europe for PS4 users although now RB2 export is live they will probably get to that next as well as the last few weeks of missing DLC.

FEBRUARY ROCK BAND DLC ANNOUNCED – THE MONTH OF LOVE
Image
Hey gang,

The month of love is upon us! February is all about bringing the love, and we’ve got plenty to share with you in our own special way – DLC! This month, we’re featuring tracks we love from previous Rock Band disc setlists, and including a few lovely new hits for you to enjoy!

You can expect to see these tunes coming to the Rock Band Music Store this month:
  • Cake – “I Will Survive”
  • Jason Derulo – “Want To Want Me”
  • Ram Jam – “Black Betty”
  • Simple Minds – “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”
  • Twisted Sister – “I Wanna Rock”

As mentioned above, we’re showing some love for tracks of Rock Band’s past with our Rock Band Rewind series. Tracks noted with the Rewind “R” indicate that they are tunes from previous Rock Band titles, and are headed to the Music Store as purchasable DLC. This month, our Rewind tracks are:
  • Motörhead – “Ace of Spades” (From the expired Rock Band 2 tracklist)
  • Panic! At The Disco – “Nine In The Afternoon” (From the expired Rock Band 2 tracklist)
  • Ratt – “Round and Round” (From the expired Rock Band 2 tracklist)
  • Sum 41 – “In Too Deep” (From the expired LEGO Rock Band tracklist)

DLC THIS WEEK – RATT AND TWISTED SISTER
This week, tracks from Ratt and Twisted Sister are headed to the Rock Band Music Store!

Starting off our Rewind tracks for the month, “Round and Round” by Ratt comes to Rock Band as DLC for the first time. Those who love belting it out on vocals will love singing this track in-game – both melody and harmony lines will have plenty to do, and we bet you can’t keep your head from banging during this tune. With what our Audio QA team calls a “rippin’ solo” on guitar added to the mix, “Round and Round” is a well-rounded pick for your Music Library.

A new track coming to the Rock Band Library is “I Wanna Rock” by Twisted Sister. This tune is perfect for beginner rock vocalists, getting harmony singers together for the energy-inspired “ROCK” in each and every chorus. Drummers should take heed to the fair amount of kicks throughout the song. A galloping bass chart will keep this spirited rock hit moving right along through the end.

Each track can be purchased individually for $1.99.
  • Ratt – “Round and Round”
  • Twisted Sister – “I Wanna Rock”

Looks like less DLC this month :(

This Rock Band Rewind thing feels a bit... cheap. Have they explained why the exports expire? Just feels like an excuse to pad out a month with songs that they've already tabbed.

Also 8-) staying in our tier yeah. We got this.

Music licencing lasts for 5 years. It's a record label thing. Then you have to pay up again.

You may have noticed some DLC gets removed after 5 years - That's probably either because a) the record label wants more money, b) Harmonix doesn't feel they can sell enough in the next 5 years to cover whatever the cost is to renew and would rather use that money for a new song, c) the people who hold the rights have gone missing/died/uncountable to renogiate

I think so far of all the songs, there are about 100 that have been pulled after the 5 year mark.

In the case of exports, Harmonix never made any money from those. The export cost paid the record labels and also Microsoft's and Sony's and Nintendo's transaction fees. So to successfully renegotiate with 50+ estates for each and every song in an export is near impossible and to put the final nail in the coffin unaffordable too.

But yeh, I would really like to see more new songs too instead of just those 5 I haven't got yet. Although there are a few good ones there I have requested before

Cake and Ram Jam i reckon. Enter Sandman would have been worth the relicensing fee. We would ALL buy it right?

Metallica sucks

They only ever got a 3 pack of DLC right? That will turn up in RB4 at some point if you've previously bought them

Get. Out.

They also had Enter Sandman and Battery on disc - hopefully they'll be licensed again in the future but the band are greedy, greedy bastards so I doubt it.

Chuffed to see Ram Jam in there. It's no Spiderbait but it'll do! And Sum 41 as well. Really want Dig by Incubus from LRB.

Forgot that they were on the RB2 disc too. They were meant to get more DLC around that time, I believe it was very close to coming out even, but then Guitar Hero got exclusive rights on them and it killed that DLC dead. Maybe one day it'll finally come out.

Totally agree with the Spiderbait version. I've been requesting both and expected the Spiderbait one to be the one chosen (I always thought that the Ram Jam version would have issues with original masters)

You will have the Skatch'N Snyff track. It was a freebie in last weeks patch if you have Rivals. Sort your library by "source" and you will find it under the Rock Band Rivals heading. There should now be 13 tracks there for you.

I have the No Doubt track already, so we can put scores in on all 3 songs again! I am surprised that they didn't chose The Who Superbowl Mashup track, that would have been a good spotlight song to showcase endurance too.

Cool! I noticed tigasefi is on too.

I'll try to get on nearer 8pm but depends on traffic. Feel free to start without me. And if Frank is going to be online and someone else also wants to join then I'm happy to drop out
